I was a regular at chilli india before and used to enjoy their food but not anymore. The dishes have become very expensive and they are not even worth the quantity in terms of the overly expensive price you are paying for one particular dish.It feels for me that i am coming out unfulfilled after dine in.There is no value for money as you have hardly eaten anything.Paying over 60 dollars for 3 dishes that includes 2 starters one main and a small bowl of rice is absolutely rubbish.Every year i have seen an increase of $2 approx in their dishes but the quantity has remained the same and the quality has degraded. We also visited their another location in Epping to dine in and there we were surprised that the management are charging a different rate and a higher price more than the Preston branch for the same dish which we have it in Preston. Chilli india is one restaurant with different locations how can you charge different price for the same dish with no change in quantity at two different locations.Epping branch is charging more than preston branch. This is really unfair to the customers. Me and my husband went to dine in on Diwali day and being regulars we get a shock from their staff when we approach there that they cannot accommodate us as there was huge crowd alreay sitting and waiting for their orders to come in and if we want to dine in we will have a wait a minimum of 45 minutes or more for our food to be served. But this is their usual even if the restaurant is not that full the minimum time to serve the food is 45 minutes which is ridiculous. .This shows that management of chilli india cannot handle pressure at all. This also shows that we as customers have no freedom to dine in as management is incapable to accommodate people .Will not be visiting them...
Read moreTHIS RATING IS ONLY BASED ON FOOD QUALITY. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE ZERO STAR FOR THEIR HOSPITALITY.
Stepping into Chilli India Preston on a weekday afternoon promised a delightful lunch experience. Arriving promptly at noon, just thirty minutes post-opening, we were greeted by a modest yet promising setup—a lone lady handling service alongside a skilled chef at the helm. Opting for the Chilli Fish (Medium Spicy) and the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani, our taste buds were met with flavoursome delights, though the Chilli Fish was a tad spicier than anticipated. The efficiency of the kitchen was commendable; however, the absence of plate service was a notable letdown. Despite the minimal crowd and food served by Robot, the basic tenets of hospitality seemed overlooked. The lady staff forgot to give us the plates. This oversight echoed a similar encounter at their Epping branch, hinting at a systemic flaw in Chilli India's hospitality standards. Our disappointment further deepened during the payment process. Despite settling the bill with cash, the transaction lingered as the attendant appeared flustered in calculating the change—a simple yet pivotal aspect of customer service. In reflection, while the culinary offerings at Chilli India Preston were satisfactory, the lapses in service and attentiveness merit a reconsideration of their hospitality ethos. It's moments like these that underscore the importance of consistent customer-centric practices. Regrettably, our experience leaves us unable to award any stars...

I wish I could give this place zero stars or even negative ratings. My wife and I arrived at this restaurant in Preston on Valentine’s Day at 7:25 PM, expecting a special evening. What we got instead was an absolute disaster. The place was extremely busy, which is understandable, but what’s NOT acceptable is the complete lack of basic hospitality and customer service.
We were shown to the second hall and seated at a two-seater dining table. The staff assured us they would turn on the lights, but that never happened. We sat there in the dark for 15 minutes! We even notified the front desk, yet not a single staff member could be bothered to turn on the lights. Forget about taking our order—they couldn’t even manage something as simple as turning on the lights!
This is, without a doubt, the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. The sheer incompetence and lack of concern for customers are beyond belief. It’s clear that this place has no respect for its guests and no understanding of how to run a business.
If you’re looking for a restaurant where you’ll be ignored, sit in darkness, and leave frustrated, then by all means, visit this place. Otherwise, save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere that actually values customers. Horrendous service, absolute disgrace, and a complete...
