Run by the most sweetest and kindest couple, Michael and Cleo, @hildamargueritaeatery is such a lovely, aesthetic family-owned cafe in Preston. The food here is made with so much love, that you can feel it right from the very first bite. The vibe here is just so pleasant and cozy.

What we had here:

Poke bowl, such an exceptional, healthy yet absolutely tasty dish made with such fresh ingredients and beautiful combinations of so many fantastic flavours are there. Must try. Really filling one as well.

Açai bowl, so energising and satisfying bowl of açai smoothie with granola, berries, sorbet and so much more. The refreshing taste will make you feel great. Strongly recommended.

The breakfast board is such a sensational dish that you definitely wanna start off your day with. Comes with chia pudding, granola, seasonal fruits and berries, avo, egg, bacon, grilled halloumi, cherry tomatoes, beetroot hummus, roasted mushrooms, ciabatta bread, fresh juice. Yes definitely perfect for sharing this mega breakfast spread, every element in this board is so delightful and delicious. Presented with such finesse and thoughtfully, this tastes so fantastic, irresistible and fresh. Strongly recommended.

Also we had a hot chocolate, which was such a comforting and delectable drink. And a mango smoothie, so filling, yummy and very refreshing to sip on it.

The service is over the top, so excellent and Michael and Cleo and all the other staff are gonna make you feel right at home, because of their cheerful, friendly, helpful and warm attitude.

Guys I couldn’t recommend this cafe more @hildamargueritaeatery in Preston. Do visit with your friends, family and pet, and guaranteed to have a memorable...

Don’t trust the reviews… Business has changed hands now and food is nothing like the photos.

Went to have breakfast and some drinks, they had run out of ice cream (okay, no worries) but also ran out of serviettes (?)

We waited forever for our food - ordered toast with jam, toast was so burnt you needed a steak knife, the butter in the dish was full of crumbs (very unappealing), and also ordered a pastry and was presented with a blueberry muffin?

Food aside, all but 1 table was covered in dirty dishes despite 4 staff working and we were the only customers sitting inside. They had a non-functional ice cream fridge which was not so strategically placed to hide scrap building materials which were scattered in the corner. Plus the bench seating cushion was so covered in stains you barely wanted to sit on it :/

I love supporting small businesses but this was like eating from someone’s home kitchen and not...

Went here to get a coffee, but decided to grab some food. Was pretty disappointed. Got a breakfast burger, they warmed it for me first, but the roll seemed stale, it was a brioche type bun. And it was cold inside. It didn't have much in the way of ingredients. This was very poor. I got a cronut, never had one before, choclate flavor, cronut was good, but I expected choclate filling, like a fresh chiclate custard, but it just had Nutella, I wasn't expecting Nutella, I was expecting a fresh choclate filling. Coffee was ok, a tad bitter. Then the price was $27 which is why I give such a review. At this price point it should be much much better. I'm going...
