After a long and treacherous flight into Melbourne at 4am on Thursday the 22nd of September, a colossal banquet for my family was absolutely necessary. After being referred by a close comrade, I endeavoured to the restaurant at 6:30pm to indulge in this interweaving cuisine. To my suprise, the establishment was relatively small, however it did not phase my family’s large appetite. The food was quickly ordered and arrived in a timely fashion. To say this food was exquisite, would be an understatement. I have been going to Chin Chin’s at Koto Moon relatively frequently for the past five years, so I am shocked to see one-star reviews on here. Personally, I find this restaurant to be one of the best in Melbourne, the food tastes amazing, service is quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is super cosy. One of my friends is visiting Melbourne for the first time from overseas in a few months, and I have already let her know that I’ll be taking her to Chin Chin’s to show her how great this city really is when it comes to our food culture. Unfortunately the takeaway quality of the dishes are not representative of a premium dine-in restaurant. Although it's disappointing to apply the association however, I've had better results from mediocre neighbouring exclusive takeaway shops, taster & reasonable cost.
