Really unfortunate as I’ve been a loyal customer since moving close by. There was no really obvious “mask as condition of entry” and as I walked into the store, I was questioned, then interrogated about what my particular medical exemption was. The government guidelines state, that not even police are required to probe the particular medical/psychological exemption; and for good reasons, such as it may be traumatic for the individual to disclose their history of abuse. I asserted I should not have to disclose my trauma and abuse (which is on medical record) and was replied with “just forget it”. If this person would have initially said it was a condition of entry I would have politely left and understood. The insensitivity and impoliteness of such questioning was truly not needed amidst a society where psychological health has already rapidly deteriorated. Didn't get given a receipt and I only realised until I was halfway home... I picked out a bottle of wine that had a 20% sale sticker on it but I was definitely overcharged because my total was excessive for the limited amount of things I purchased... Also realised when I got home that the use-by date of a tub of yogurt I paid full price for was that very same day I purchased it. What the heck is up with that?? Staff was friendly, conveniently chatty, and distracted me from making a point about the wine. I liked the range in this store and I would like to support organic and local produce but this experience really soured me. Please make a point to give your customers receipts, and also seriously, charging for old produce, even at discounted prices, is not cool. Why not contribute to your community and have a free pantry with all your bruised produce or something? This place is just...

A boutique whole foods store in the Rathdowne village. You'll find all your whole food shopping bits and pieces here, both food and drink. They have fresh fruit and veg 'healthy' snacks and treats (I know-who knew healthy treats could taste good! I'm a full fat and sugar man, so I was very pleasantly surprised). The store has a really pleasant atmosphere, and the staff are inviting and approachable. If you have any questions, they're more than happy to guide you in the right direction and give recommendations if needed.
