The best toastie I have ever had.
Food: We ordered the Next Level Toastie, Greens Light Bite and a Caramel Latte to pair. I am not exaggerating in saying that taking a bite of that toastie felt like I was in heaven. The pickled onions perfectly complimented the salty ham and the sweet relish, and the bread had a beautiful soft inside. Mustard Mayo was the icing on the cake. As for the Greens Light Bite, the salsa verde was very well seasoned and complimented the vegetables very well. The latte was absolutely delicious too. Not ridiculously overpriced like other fancy cafes.
Service: Staff had a good knowledge of the menu and seemed genuinely proud of the quality of their food, which was a fantastic sign. Free refillable water too.
Atmosphere: Beautiful gallery walls and decor. According to my mum, who goes there regularly, they often rotate the art on display. I really appreciated that they had the pieces for sale too, it shows how they support the artists in the community!
Overall 100% going again to try more food. I will likely write another review/ edit this review so I can get a more complete view of...
Read moreCame here for breakfast this morning. Took my mum and neighbour out for a Motherâs Day treat. The food and drinks were horrible. The only good thing was the coffee. I ordered the prosciutto bagel and the prosciutto was old and inedible. The cheese also tasted like it hadnât been stored in the fridge. I got home and threw up the breakfast immediately. Unfortunately we werenât treated very kindly. Only kind staff member was the young lady at the door who greeted us and sat us. The boys who were taking our orders and serving our food lacked people skills. My elderly neighbour had trouble hearing them and they wouldnât repeat it or increase their volume. My mum asked for a takeaway container and they threw it down at her. When removing the plates a knife dropped (accident so not upset about that) but he didnât say anything. Didnât even say âoops sorryâ. I hate to give such a low review but this is pretty horrible, especially on a day of appreciation.
Do better please, itâs a...
Read moreI went for lunch today on a public holiday and whilst the cafe was busy the service was excellent. The blonde lady Lauren made one of the best ice coffees Iâve had in a long time and my boyfriend had an orange juice which was so refreshing in the sunshine.
Iâve eaten here before and the food is always top notch. I had the lentil gnocchi which was a really generous size, delicious and very filling. My boyfriend opted for scrambled eggs, halloumi and bacon. He commented âthis is the best cafe food Iâve ever hadâ, highlighting how much he loved the halloumi especially. We also took home a brownie which was absolutely one of the best brownies iâve ever eaten (I think it was a white choc caramel flavour) not to mention the vegan lamington is also amazing.
More than happy to support a local business like this, especially knowing the challenge it can be to remain open on a public holiday! So grateful we had a place to dine at on a beautiful sunny public holiday and canât wait to...
