Title: A Stately Respite in the Heart of Nature - A Review of the The Club Hotel
Nestled among the verdant vistas of Ferntree Gully, the club hotel promises a unique experience that seamlessly blends the charm of rustic hospitality with contemporary elegance.
One of the hallmarks of the establishment is its dining experience. The culinary offerings are an homage to the diversity and quality of local produce, where each dish tells a story of the region's rich agricultural heritage. The menu is an adventurous journey across the gourmet landscape, oscillating between comfort classics and exotic culinary adventures. Though some dishes may need minor refinement to reach their potential, the majority are prepared with exquisite attention to detail.
Service at the Club Hotel is marked by an impressive balance of professionalism and warmth. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and seemingly has an innate ability to anticipate guest needs. From the moment one steps into the property till the time of departure, every interaction underscores their commitment to making each guest's experience unique and memorable.
Entertainment is another area where this establishment shines. The hotel orchestrates a captivating array of live performances, ranging from local bands to trivia nights that keep the ambience lively and engaging. The beautiful backdrop of the Dandenong Ranges only serves to enhance these moments, transforming ordinary evenings into lasting memories.
Despite its many commendable aspects, there are areas where improvements could enhance the overall experience. The pub can be quite crowded during peak hours, potentially impacting the dining experience. A more effective system to manage the crowd could elevate the experience even further.
In conclusion, the Club Hotel is a delightful blend of gastronomic delights, engaging entertainment, and stellar service, all set within an ambiance that captures the natural beauty of its surroundings. It's a place where one can relax, engage the senses, and experience the authentic charm of...
Read moreThe Club Hotel is a fantastic local spot that delivers on great value, good food, and a laid-back pub atmosphere. Whether you're just dropping in for a drink or sitting down for a hearty meal, it ticks all the boxes for a casual and satisfying outing.
One of the best parts? Their happy hour deals. On select days, you can grab a beer for just $6.50, which is an absolute steal. With a solid selection of beers on tap, it's a great place to wind down after work or catch up with mates without breaking the bank.
We ordered the Full Pork Rack, and it completely exceeded expectations. The pork was fall-off-the-bone tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. It came with a generous side of crispy onion rings, chunky wedges, and a fresh salad - all well-executed and filling. The portion was massive and definitely worth the price.
The vibe is relaxed, with plenty of seating and a welcoming crowd. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel right at home, whether you're popping in solo or with a group.
If you're in the area and looking for a casual meal with generous portions, a couple of cold beers, and some solid pub food done right, The Club Hotel is definitely worth a visit. We'll absolutely be back - especially for those pork ribs and happy...
Read moreWas unfortunately very disappointed in my experience here. After making my elderly grandparent wait a good 3-5 minutes standing trying to get a table, we ended up seating ourselves as it wasn’t too busy. The staff from then on were friendly but my meal definitely wasn’t. Aside from having two options to chose from as a vegetarian, a family member convinced me to get the vegetarian dipping platter as it had things I would enjoy on it. They toasted the four slices of bread so they were cold and dry when I was attempting to eat it. There was a sauce cup with oil and a slash of vinegar down below which wasn’t reachable due to the cup it was in, there was a shot glass of olives and the veggie sticks were so old that they were dry and white. I didn’t want my grandparent waiting around for me to get different food so I just ate it however, frankly it was all terrible and actually gave me food poisoning. I wouldn’t even serve something like that to my kids and definitely not worth even close to the $24 that they charge. The others that had the steak said the cuts had too much gristle and fatty bits on it but the pork belly was delicious. I urge the chefs to please get that off the menu and just add a simple pasta or...
