Chutney's South Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Melbourne

Worst ever experience With Puri they gave, masala aloo of dosa. Briyani wasn't fresh at all, just had a spoon rest wasted. Seems lot of hygiene issue

Thanks for responding, if you would have put half of this energy in learning how to cook or manage a restaurant, you would have many satisfied customer, I just the screen shot of present review and seems many had similar experience.

While ordering the Puri, I asked the girl at counter, does it comes with Potato curry, she confirmed yes, comes with Potato curry, understand about evolving flavour but Potato curry will never be same as masala for Masala Dosa. You do mentioned customer prefer Aloo masala with Puri, but that not the case with me I asked before ordering and was expecting what I ordered.

With Biryani, everyone understand it can't be prepared after ordering, usually I go to good restaurant like Dosa Hut, Priya never had such issue there, may be they know how much they going to sell and prepare accordingly (free lesson for you) and store accordingly, if the place where you store the food can't maintain the temp,. buy new one don't play with peoples health. Rather, I should have taken some pic and shared to health department for hygiene issues.

I didn't misbehaved with any staff, though your respond show how arrogant you are. Staff of staff is because people like you under pay your staff and obviously no one will work with an arrogant person like you and getting under paid. Paid the staff properly, treat them with respect (not like your arrogant respond) and they'll stay.

As far as appreciation is concerned you need to deserve the appreciation, you can't beg for it. I had masala dosa also which was fine, no complain about it. I looked at how you have responded to other review when they gave negative review (very arrogant), even you're begging someone for good review in one of the respond. You need to earn respect, don't beg for it.

I tell you a story, a kid got bad mark in exam, when scolded by parents he said "teacher don't know how to check the answer sheet". If I start cooking at home, people like you will beg for customers, customers like me are taking care of your and your staff's meal.

Very bad customer service. Makes no sense for them to serve our order to another family whilst we are still eating and then have to wait even longer. Additionally, the restaurant itself is not at all clean with random forks and spoons at each table without being counted. Some tables had no knifes and forks. The lady cleaned our table when we asked for it to be cleaned the table with an extremely dirty cloth that seemed to have not been washed, with brown spots everywhere. Looked like it was used to dry hands, clean and many other things. Shows no...

The food was absolutely amazing , I call it the service with smile. We a group of 3 people went to chutneys to have some Indian food and we were baffeled by the taste of each dish , we ordered like 15 dishes starting with the soup , then idly and poori and all others and then we ended with this delicious Gulab jamun and icecream .

We thanked the chef and the staff for the amazing food and excellent service .
