I was a regular customer, who kept coming back for the boneless free range chicken. However, ever since the staff team’s change, the dish had been getting worse in every order. They claimed that they didnt change the chef but I highly doubt it now.
Here are issues I found in recent orders: Boneless chicken was raw at the thigh and not edible. LOTS of bones left attached to fresh. Spring onion ginger sauce was totally off and sour. The ingredients within were a lot coarser than the ones before the staff change. Staff taking orders through phone was not polite. There were multiple times when I called, they were impatient and yet it was because of them being so bad at communicating in English.
Tonight I had ordered the whole free range boneless chicken again, and found that the portion was a lot less. An obvious clue was that there was one wing missing.
I called over and asked, and they denied then gave me unacceptable reasons: such as saying that the missing wing actually had its bones removed and was included in the box.
This is ridiculous. They are trying to fool customers like we don’t know what a boneless wing looks like. Even if it’s the truth, then why is the other wing still having its bones attached? Well in this case, can we say that they are giving half-way-done orders to customers then?
By the way, even in tonight’s order, there were LOTS of(we are talking about at least 50% of all pieces) whole stick of bones and small bone fragments still attached to the chicken pieces.
I really missed the quality I got before the change.
This is really disappointing to see a good restaurant degraded so much and treating customers like fools. How shameless they are to still charge so much with this quality of food and service?
Definitely will not order from...
Read moreI used to be a loyal customer here, however i’m not going to go to this restaurant anymore from now on. We used to go there few times a week before, however the quality of food has dropped dramatically after they changed the owner. Last month, my husband and me both had diarrhoea after having the Hainanese Chicken rice. We didn’t give feedback to the owner at that time, because we weren’t 100% sure if it was because of the Hainanese Chicken rice, but the only thing that we could think of causing the diarrhoea is the chicken rice. So we didn’t visit to the shop for a month, but we went again this evening for take away. We took away one Hainanese Chicken rice, and when i opened the box just after less than an hour time, i found that the chicken is off, the smell is so stink when i opened the box. So i rang them and gave feedback to them. However the manager refused to admit that their food has problem, the staff even told me it could be the delivery problem. I actually found it funny as i bought it from the shop for less than an hour, and i think the food shouldn’t gone off so quick in an hour time. Anyway, they asked me to return back to the shop for an exchange. But it’s too much hassle for me to go back just to get a chicken rice that i’m not is it edible. I need to mention that, we have visited here so many times, and never had any issue previously. However after the owner is changed, the food quality is really bad, and the rice is dry and hard too. So disappointed with this shop now, and we’ll definitely not going...
Read moreI passed by this restaurant multiple times but decided to check out the Bun Bo Hue on this occasion. True to the photos in other reviews, it has the pork knuckles, Vietnamese ham, and pig's blood jelly. The soup tastes delicious but could be enhanced with more lemon grass shavings. I paid $13 for a medium-sized bowl. The portion was generous. In terms of price, it's cheaper than Nam Giao and Mekong restaurant. If you want BBH, without paying too much, I recommend this restaurant. The spacing between tables is generous, much better than Hung Vuong. I went back again at 5 pm and was surprised that the specials were still being offered. Ordered the Hainanese chicken rice. Chicken was boneless and tasted good. Rice was fragrant, too. But the ginger sauce is watery, and the accompanying soup had a taste of MSG. Acceptable for the price, but the portion of meat is probably too small for me. Came here for lunch on a Sunday. It was packed. Most patrons were ordering the specials for $8. I decided to have the large pho with sliced beef and beef balls. The sliced beef was smaller in size than those offered at Pho Nho. I was expecting them to be pieces of rare beef, but they were overcooked. Different from Pho Hung Vuong, too. The taste of the soup is good. I paid $15. I did not like the atmosphere on a weekend. There is a Pacific Islander family with 5 children sitting behind me, and the kids were screaming. I went to the bathroom and found...
