Quite the interesting variety of pastries. Would highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake cruffin, which was very soft and flavorful without being overbearing.
The mi goreng croissant reminded me of the japanese yakisoba pan. It's a nice concept, but didn't taste quite as nice. I think the cheese made the whole thing taste one-dimensional since it overpowered the flavor from the mi goreng, resulting in the croissant just being really salty.
The matcha raspberry cruffin could be better as well. The raspberry was on point but the matcha filling actually tasted like plain custard despite being bright green.
The martabak croissant is another interesting one but at the end of the day what makes martabak distinct is the pancake itself, so while it may seem obvious, put the filling in another "shell" (i.e. the croissant) doesn't quite deliver the same feeling as the OG. Moreover, the croissant was overwhelmingly chocolatey. You can still taste the cheese here and there, but the sesame seeds are only there for texture as you can barely distinguish their flavor. In short, it's kinda like a jacked up pain au chocolat.
Overall, I think the pastries here are worth a try, though I believe with some adjustments they could be...
Read moreAfter seeing great reviews on Google, we were here on a Sunday morning (just after 11am) to get some croissants to takeaway. There was a short queue outside the shop (note only two customers are allowed inside the shop at a time as there are limited space inside the shop). We waited around 15-20 minutes before getting served. To be absolutely honest, I found the service lacking as it was cold and transactional (no greetings, no smile, no thank you; just grabbed, packed, paid and next). Additionally, people who dined in the cafe can just head to the counter and reorder again (without having to queue again, which explained why it still take a while for the people who are queuing outdoor to be served).
The 5 stars are for the croissants which are excellent, buttery, flaky and airy. We ordered the taro crolls (the best taro flavored croissant I ever have, the taro cream is amazing), ham & cheese croissant and spinach & ricotta croissant. Love all these croissants, simply delicious and very skillfully done!
Will be back for the croissants (not...

Customer Service 3/5 *Nothing amazing to mention, but nothing bad to mention. Lacking a but of human touch
Food 2/5 *Croissant was not flaky, it was freezing cold. Almost as if it was refrigerated. Didn't taste fresh at all *The croissants were really sweet, which made it unenjoyable *Texture was not of a standard croissant, it was very dense and tasted and felt more like a burger bun, but extremely sweet *Cream Cheese on the Garlic Korean was also really sweet. *Every ingredient was too sweet and too heavy, tasted like I was eating a load of butter and sugar.
Value 1/5 *Would not pay for this, neither would I like to get paid to eat the above
Atmosphere 4/5 *Trendy, nice warm atmosphere. Cafe vibes with hole in wall concept. 2 staff only so service was a bit slow.
Overall *Would not go again. Way too sweet, way too heavy on the butter, croissants were not flaky or fresh. Unfortunately the instagram ads make it look good, but it is poorly executed and only made for camera aesthetics not really for...
