If you love durian, you have to try their durian dessert! That one spoonful of durian—chef's kiss, sooo good~ But the Cendol was a little too sweet for me because of the palm sugar… just a bit too much haha.

IKAN BAKAR BALI ($25.90) Grilled fish with sweet Balinese sauce. The fish was tender and juicy, and the sauce had a nice sweet and slightly tangy taste. Pretty good, I liked it!

💕 Must Try 💕 KEPITING LUNAK CEREAL ($29.50) Soft shell crab coated in crispy cereal flakes—so crunchy on the outside, yet still juicy inside! Reminds me of the Hong Kong-style cereal prawns, but with that Indonesian spice kick. Super fragrant and flavourful, LOVED this one!

MIE GORENG KAMPUNG ($18.90) Fried noodles with chicken satay. A bit on the sweet side, but had great wok hei (that smoky stir-fried flavour). The chicken was well-marinated too. Definitely the safest dish for those who don’t eat spicy.

UDANG BAKAR MADU ($19.80) Grilled honey tiger prawns. Cooked perfectly—springy and sweet. Best part? They peeled almost all the shells for us, except the head and tail, haha. Just pop it in your mouth and enjoy!

AYAM PENYET ASLI KHAS D’PENYETZ – SAMBAL TERASI ($12.90) Their signature smashed fried chicken did not disappoint! Crispy outside, juicy inside. And that sambal… spicy, but sooo satisfying. If you love a good kick of heat, you need...

Took my mum and aunty here on Monday for lunch, I paid beforehand for the meal as I had to leave early and double check with the servers before I left to not charge our table again. They proceeded to charged my mum again for the meal even though my mum stated she thought I already paid for it, which I had.🤦 Seeing my mum later she told me they had also charged her. I had the banking recipet thank goodness but my mum didn't as she paid with cash.

I went back today to let them know about the incident and he couldn't find the payment on their system? I've worked as a cashier before and there should definitely be a log with a timestamp of every payment made.

After waiting for around 10 mins he said he'd get back to me if I left my email but I wasn't going to wait around and hope they made it right as it's their mistake. It should not have happened in the first place and would have been trackable had they keyed in the order ( I gave them the time and date as well 1.07pm on the 3rd of Feb). He's since refunded the money, hopefully afterwards they'll have a system in place and not charge customers double as they had our table number it should have been marked as paid when I paid?

The food was nice as is the atmosphere but was definitely not an...

We ordered soto ayam, ayam geprek, ayam penyet, kangkung belachan, and pisang bakar on Friday night after 10PM. The food were overall pretty good especially with the spiciness level. However, fall short on the service aspect, almost non existent. We ordered dessert with the notes "to be served after mains", but then the dessert were brought even before the rest of the savoury course arrived. We kindly asked the server if the dessert can be made later after the savoury course. The server brought back without saying anything but then another server brought the same dessert 2 minutes after the dish was brought back to the kitch . We kindly say the same thing and the server brought it back to the kitchen. After we finished with the savoury course then we asked for the dessert. The server brought the same dessert that was served 1 hour prior. We were just a little bit taken back by it. We kindly asked if we can get a new one. The server took the plate back without saying anything again. Then the chef from the kitchen was glare at us from over the little kitchen window. It was not our fault if you they don't read the notes on the docket but serving a stale cold dessert that was meant to be a warm dessert is just a no no. Perhaps they can improve...

As a first-time visitor to the restaurant, I decided to try the EMPAL BAKAR(beef), and I must say it exceeded my expectations by far. The dish was tender and delicious and had a falling-apart texture that was so enjoyable. My partner ordered the fish, and she also had a great time enjoying her meal. The serving size was pretty good, and we were satisfied with the quantity of food we got for the price we paid. The drink we had was also yummy and complemented our meal well. However, there were a couple of downsides that we experienced during our visit. They forgot to serve my rice with my meal, and I had to ask for it separately. While this was not a significant issue, it did cause a little inconvenience. Additionally, we were surprised to find out that if you want a takeaway container because you can't finish your meal, it costs extra. 50 cents. Overall, the EMPAL BAKAR(beef) and fish were both enjoyable, and the restaurant provides good value for money. The few downsides we experienced, such as the forgotten rice and extra charge for a takeaway container, didn't affect our overall experience much. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and plan to visit again soon

If you're craving authentic Indonesian cuisine with a side of great service and a fantastic ambience, look no further than this restaurant. Located in the Melbourne CBD, this gem exceeded our expectations in every way. We ordered Ikan Bakar, Ayam Penyet and Nasi Goreng Kampung. The freshness of the fish was undeniable, complemented by a tantalizing blend of spices that left us wanting more. The Ayam Penyet, a dish that showcased tender, crispy chicken served with a punchy chili paste. We indulged in Nasi Goreng Kampung, a fried rice dish that transported us straight to the heart of Indonesia. Portions at this restaurant are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied yet already planning your next visit. The quality of ingredients shines through in every dish, promising a dining experience that's both authentic and memorable. The ambience strikes a perfect balance between cozy and vibrant, making it ideal for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings.
