Staff negligence regarded gluten free item .
So I went to my friend’s place and she ordered some donuts from the Cranbourne branch via Uber eats. I have celiac disease so we have been pretty clear with the order . She ordered 6 non gluten free and 2 gluten free donuts for me . The box of non gluten free came and then there were 2 seperate paper bags one had a gluten free donut in the sealed pack and the other had another seperate donut ( a jam filled donut that I ordered GLUTEN FREE) which I thought was gluten free as that’s what I ordered and expected them to deliver but it wasn’t . It was a normal jam filled gluten donut. I ate it and just had a thought that why it’s that soft and gluten free but not in the sealed package . So we contacted them and got to know that they MISTAKENLY gave a normal donut and charges us for a gluten free donut. They instantly have the money back but the damage it has caused in my gut cannot be reversed . So please the staff should have a proper knowledge and awareness of how serious it can get for a person with an auto immune disorder to eat gluten when they aren’t allowed to. It’s literally cancels out all the gluten that I did not eat in the...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would, after the atrocious customer service I received tonight and even coming out empty-handed on our way out. I came in with my family hoping to buy at least a couple dozen donuts and waited in line for 25 minutes. A couple cuts in front of me and when I try to explain that I was waiting first and would like to be served first, the worker says “if you’re going to argue, I’m not gonna serve you” I felt very discriminated against as i have an accent and wasn’t taken serious because of it. I am not criticising the wait time, I understand it can get busy. However, what I am criticising is how, despite the worker noticing the couple cutting in line, she continued to ignore me and serve them even after I requested my turn first. Both me and my family walked out empty handed and never plan on coming back again. To top it all off, they knew it was my birthday. Extremely disappointed in how I was...
Read moreNZ style donuts have gone mainstream! No longer relegated to only locally known bakeries spread only through word of mouth, Daniel’s Donuts have now taken the popularity of this style of (traditionally) soft bun, fresh cream filled bakery treats far and wide. In short - it’s worth it. You can stop reading here and go get your hands on some. Every time I’ve driven by this recently opened store, there’s a queue stretching out the door and wrapped around the corner of the shopping centre. Not to mention the Springvale location where it’s super busy anytime of the day or night. I had to satisfy my curiosity, see what the hype is about. Glad I did, regretted I didn’t do it sooner. They are famed, they are hyped. I don’t know how far reaching their donuts are on social media, but in summary it lives up to its hype. These are the best donuts I’ve ever tasted anywhere in the world....
