Long story short: Busy but some of the best donuts in Australia.
Daniels Donuts is a foodie phenomenon that has slowly but surely started to take over all Victoria.
They offer wonderfully fluffy donuts in an extremely wide and delicious range of flavours, tasty New Zealand style pies (savoury), milkshakes, cakes, coffee and every now and then they make some specialty items.
When it comes to specialty items Daniels Donuts will release a limited amount of unique donuts like Durian or Taro flavoured donuts, if you want to get a taste of these you better move quick and keep an eye on their social media as that’s where they announce these tasty creations.
With Vegan options available they are able to cater to a wider variety of customers and when it comes to vegan donuts there is literally no one in Australia who makes better donuts. In fact my favourite donut that they make is their Vegan PB&J and I’m not even vegan.
The Springvale location is open 24x7 and is constantly busy no matter what time of the day or night you visit, so even if you arrive at 3:50am on a Monday be prepared to line up.
The staff do their best to be friendly but they do have to work quickly due to the amount of customers who are always present, so if you are not ready to order move to the sides and figure it out, don’t hold up their line otherwise you will earn the ire of all the other customers and the staff.
On a side note Daniels Donuts in Springvale has become a community hub, you will see students, police officers, nurses, lawyers, tradies, ex cons, and your average retail workers all relaxing, enjoying donuts and getting along. Good food and great vibe do wonders for...
Read moreon 14/11/2024 Thursday yesterday at 9.10pm I went to pick up my uber customer order at Daniel Donuts Springvale, when I showed the order to a girl employee she big size and black hair curl hair, her face so arrogant with no smile, not friendly staff 😒she refused to give the order, she said that I am not the driver real uber, while I have shown my ID several times, and I gave it to hold, and the girl herself saw that my name on the ID and on the uber account were the same, only because my picture on the account was black and now it's yellow, I already explained but the girl employee's attitude was very rude and didn't want to apologize, and the most disappointing thing was that she complained to the uber center that someone else was using my uber account even she already saw my ID and I already told her, after that I come back and want an explanation she behaved arrogant and I gave my ID again 2x and told her im drive alone, even I swear to God last night want make her believe and please don’t do like that make me trouble for my account .the girl was rude and made me so upset and angry. if there is no proof don't feel free to complain about someone's uber account because it hurts the right people who are honest and need work. Another thing I want to complain is that the way she prepares the coffee is not neat, please fix it. and my message is please be kind to customers and uber drivers. because that employee, damaged the image of Daniel...
Read moreDaniel's Donuts is the very definition of over-hyped.
50% of the time I have been served a stale donut that had to be over a day old. Flavour and texture is really nothing special. Cinnamon donuts don't even taste of cinnamon, just sugar. Krispy Kreme from 7 eleven tastes far superior.
They insist on blaring out loud music despite multiple complaints from customers. Not only is the music too loud but is always trashy and profane and what you'd expect from a strip-club.
The queuing is always chaotic and other people always barge in front and the staff have no clue who was suppose to be next. People dash back and forth trying to see and deliberating for ages which donuts to get - I think this situation could be improved by producing a menu.
They now shill their own branded merch - at best this is tacky at worst this is plain narcissism. You can see how their egos have become inflated from the ridiculous hype. Humble is not a word on their radar.
Most the time I get served by someone who either looks terrified or who looks irritated and bored. I understand it would be a stressful job during busy times but I've worked in service and it's just not an excuse, sorry.
I will not be back and I do not think they give a damn about any of the negative reviews (there are plenty) because they have the dollar signs...
