Degani Northland — Restaurant in Melbourne

My friend and I had popped in to get coffee and were greeted with the worst customer service ever. My friend was special needs and asked if she could order an iced chai without any sugar and soy milk. The lady serving her said I can do it without sugar and proceeded to take the order. We sat down when shortly after the other lady came with a latte and we were confused because my friend specifically said she wanted an iced chai. However that wasn’t the problem. My friend had told the lady that she ordered an iced chai and the lady looks at her up and down and goes well this is your order with attitude. My friend goes no it’s not, then the lady yells across the room to the other lady who took the order and she’s already shaking her head, has a smug face looking at us being like what’s the problem. They’re both annoyed and she’s saying this isn’t her order and the lady who took it goes and looks directly at me I told you three times and rolled her eyes. We both felt extremely dismissed and little. Then the other lady said well mate it’s gonna be extra so my friend gave her money for an iced chai and both staff were shaking their heads knowing we are able to see them. When we received the iced chai it was only 3/4 full. My friend was very upset and we left.

I had arrived at Degani’s last week on Thursday the 28th/3. The two ladies that served me were both blonde or bleached blonde hair, one had longer hair the other had shorter hair. Both looked around mid to late 50’s. The problem could’ve been handled more...

Awful place. Staff are extremely rude and would never recommend going here. Male asked me to leave after I had a coffee and was listening to a podcast. What a toss!!

In regards to your response - I don't want to email you as I think other people should be able to read about my experience.

I paid for a large cap in a mug. Drank it and was listening to a podcast at a table at the very back. Please note, there were about 3 pr 4 other people seated so there was plenty of room. It wasn't as if I was interfering with potential earnings. The guy in this photo came up when I had my earbuds in and tapped me on the shoulder and said, "are you going to order anything else apart from the coffee?' (which was finished). When I said No he asked me to leave as im no longer a paying customer!! Was just a strange thing to do and unnecessary and there was 0 chance of it having a positive impact in ANY way, shape or...

Left my 37 week pregnant partner to sit at Degani's in a vacant seat (as there is no other sitting available on the north eastern side of the shopping centre), while i went to the toilet.

She was experiencing back pain and was asked by the owner to move off the seat (as she was holding a coffee from Cherry Bean Cafe, a much better tasting coffee FYI). After she explained she was 37 weeks pregnant, he then said she need to tip her existing coffee into a degani's cup in order for her to remain seated there.

I came back to find her upset and could not believe in this day and age, you would create such a hassle for a pregnant woman to move. My partner even offered to cover the coffee cup under a shopping bag as she understood he was trying to run a business.

Won't be buying from here again just based on this...
