To have this great new restaurant close to Melbourne Big 4 Holiday Park was a bonus on our last trip recently. We went several times while staying at the park. The staff were all fantastic and very attentive and friendly. Wed arrived late and decided to eat before checking into the park instead of walking back down as it was getting quite cool. The food was over the moon - I had a beetroot risotto the first night and my hubby had the tagliatelle salmon and capers garlic and wine. The meal was large but we managed to eat everything as it was so delicious. The coffee was great but couldn't fit in desert so took some back to our van park for later. We were meeting friends for dinner two nights later and persuaded them to change their plans and go to Degani. Nobody was disappointed. Once again the friendly staff made our night. We all loved our various meals though disappointed the tagliatelle wasn't on the menu that night as I would have liked to have had that. The menue was extensive and it was difficult to make a decision. We were surprised to see they were open every night till late and live music Fridays. We will be back. Thankyou to all at...
Read moreThe food was made very quickly. We ordered bruschetta, zucchini and halloumi fritters, steak sandwich, and calamari salad. The Bruschetta was lovely, would definitely get it again, the zucchini and halloumi fritters were quite nice, the steak sandwich was just ok, half the steak was so over cooked it was like eating rubber. The calamari salad was nice although, a bit heavy on the dressing. I would eat here again. However, some details need attention. When my tea came out, the spoon I was given was dirty, and there was a lack of napkins on the table, as my partners drink when served was everywhere (Iced coffee). Lastly, the toilets in this Degani were disgusting. The bin in the shared toilet was over flowing with used sanitary products. The only reason I opened the bin was to put the toilet paper I had to dry my hand with inside of it, as the hand dryer was so disgusting, and full of mouldy water, I gaged.
Overall the staff were lovely, the food was good, and...
Read moreBusinesses thrive on their customers.
The owner and staff have favouritism and Preferential treatment of their customers. So if they like you, you will get a coffee ahead of those who ordered before you Or your food will come out ahead of others... etc
And not only that the management will be so loud about it that other customers (you know the poor folks who ordered before them) can hear everything!
Sergio the owner does whatever he wants. He can he’s the boss but keep this up and in a year or two this place will be gone.
Food is also steep and not that amazing The menu is also less than other Deganis across...
