One of the best breakfast experiences I’ve had in the entire Melbourne! One of those rare gems where the staff and customer service truly stand out. From the very first visit, they were incredibly attentive and remembered my previous order — such a thoughtful touch that really puts you at ease. We ordered a custom breakfast off-menu, and without even asking, the staff kindly split it into two plates for us. That level of mindfulness and care was just beautiful. I really enjoyed . I want to highlight how incredible the scrambled eggs were. I ordered the Middle Eastern Scramble, and it was beyond my expectations—honestly, the best scramble I’ve ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with a fresh mix of greens served on beautiful bread filled with walnut paste. It was a high-quality dish with fresh condiments and amazing texture. The second dish we had was the Dish & Spoon Bomba—super generous portions with thick-cut smoked bacon and a crispy potato paste ball on the side. The scramble in this dish was also top-tier. The side bread was loaded with flavor; honestly, even their bread alone could be a highlight—so fresh and tasty. The coffee was spot-on, smooth and rich. And the two cakes we ordered were fresh, sweet, and had that melt-in-your-mouth feeling without being overly sugary—tasted healthy and homemade. Also, big shoutout to Steve, who looked after everything with genuine friendliness—helping us find a seat quickly and making the whole vibe relaxed. They’ve got outdoor seating out front, cozy indoor space, and a beautiful back garden. Even the toilet was spotless and felt clean and cared for. Absolutely coming back! We came back a second and third and 4th & 5th time and enjoyed it even more — especially the custom breakfast we created ourselves, even though it wasn’t on the menu. I must say, the lamb shoulder sandwich was outstanding. When you have no idea what to eat for breakfast, come to this laid-back café and let the chef’s creativity and the team’s talent guide you. The staff don’t just take your order — they take the time to understand what you feel like. They’ll offer you something special that not only satisfies your cravings in the moment, but sticks in your memory. Even better, they remember your preferences for next time. This café has cultivated a unique culture where every staff member genuinely cares about creating a delightful morning experience just for you. I’ve added an update photo about King Salmon’s special breakfast from mid-May.

Incredible service and quality eats. I came in on a Wed just before 11am. It was buzzing with people both wanting takeaway and eating in. I was greeted by warm smiles and greetings and this was pretty consistent throughout my experience. I ordered an oat cap and the Dish and Spoon Bomba No. 4 - copy pasted from their menu this contains a “POTATO BOMBA, THICK CUT MAPLE GLAZED BACON STEAK, CORIANDER, SPICED ROMESCO, POACHED EGGS, SAFFRON TOMATO HOLLANDAISE, OLIVE TOAST”. I don’t know what I was expecting but I just wanted to try something different. The serving was huuuuge. The photo just does not do it justice. All of the elements went incredibly well together - my faves being the olive toast and the maple glazed bacon. The bacon was definitely very thick, and so was the potato bomba (best way I can describe it is similar to a croquette). It was a bit much for me in terms of size and all the elements being so heavy, but overall the taste was great. All the flavours were already on the plate with the sauces and spices - there was zero need to add much else but a bit of pepper. I’d recommend sharing with your mate or significant other if you ever end up ordering the bomba. Atmosphere - busy and bustling. Music playing in the background on an appropriate volume throughout the day, and so much bigger than it looks outside! Plenty of tables for groups and twos indoors and outdoors - if a group probably best to book. Overall tasted so good and service was impeccable! Keen to come back again soon!

I was pretty floored by their innovative brunch menu. This suburban cafe is doing intriguing breakfast dishes that I have never seen before. Not to mention the staff were unbelievably lovely I order the smashed avocado but this wasn’t exactly your bog standard version. It came with green apple, walnut and textures of beetroot all atop olive bread. I’m not a real olive fan but I loved this concept of apple and walnut with the avo. So much more exciting than your average feta and chilli combo. The kaffir lime cured salmon on the side exploded this to the next level. Hubby got the middle eastern scramble which was a unique twist on what most cafes serve as chilli scramble. What was quite different about this was the walnut buttered Turkish bread. Move over peanut butter the walnut spread is here. Free range eggs to boot which I always love to see. Our final dish was perhaps the most interesting of all. Pistachio and olive oil cake. In place of traditionally sweet brunchfare like the humble hotcake or waffle comes this stunningly presented little cake. Quite frankly we were blown away by the beauty of the plating. It looked like art and the flavours and textures were akin to what you would experience during dessert at a fine dining restaurant. We were certainly very impressed and would thoroughly recommend to anyone but especially those who consider themselves foodies

Overall the staff are friendly, but slow service and below quality food.

There are a considerable amount of staff allocated to takeaway orders, with a few staff members for managing dining in customers. Perhaps as a result of this, coffees took the better part of 20 minutes to come out. One of them had to be remade, and didn't come out until our meals were almost finished. Not a lot of consistency for froth amount on lattes, as I saw them being made.

Ordered their steak breakfast and middle eastern scramble.

The steak breakfast comes with a small portion of steak, mushrooms, poached eggs, a deep fried hashbrown, and a jus. The eggs were almost perfectly poached, and the mushrooms were creamy and Miley salty-quite delicious. The steak was also cooked to a beautiful medium rare.

Unfortunately, the jus was far too salty, the steak itself tasted a bit old, and the hollandaise sauce solidified a bit too much. The hashbrown was by far the worst inclusion in this meal. It tasted reminiscent of deep fried Thanksgiving stuffing. No good texture balances, no clear direction of flavour, and confusing if I was eating potato, or bread. Definitely not worth the 24$.

The middle eastern scramble comes with avacado, chili oil, tomato, garlic & basil labne, and zaatar scrambled eggs, with a grilled lime and pepper flatbread.

If that sounds confusing, it is basically: scambled eggs, guacamole, tzatziki dip, and some flatbread. None of the components were particularly well made-the guacamole was far too sour, the bread was crumbly, the eggs were over seasoned with pepper, and the tzatziki tasted store bought. Finally, the flavours clashed, without any sort of harmoneous direction as to what the dish...
