Food is ok - traditional Aussy / Chinese menu, but after being in the food industry for over 30 years, I really appreciate customer / vendor loyalty. If the vendor gives value, no matter what the cost, the customer comes back. I got chilli beef with cashews tonight, was charged $4 extra for a small handful of cashews, It worked out to be $0.15 cents per cashew. The concept of ripping loyal customers off is horrible. The restaurant thinks this is a good business move to charge stupid "extra" prices and make a bit of money in the short term, but fail to realise they will lose a long term customer. If I spend $30 a month CONSERVITALLY at your restaurant, say $350 a year and live for another 20 years, your business just lost $7000 minimum. Multiply by many customers who also don't like being ripped off, equals tens of thousands. All because of a cheap extra condiment that you buy in bulk. Please don't get me wrong, very happy to pay what is fair, but your charges are not fair and your food is not worth the extra money.

Even though the portion of the food was huge but the quality doesn't justify the price at all. The fried rice was bland. The sweet & sour pork was not what I expected. If you google what Sweet & Sour Pork is, what was delivered to me was totally different! How disappointing! And I read the description before I ordered! Perhaps the restaurant should change their description to PORK SLICES with Sweet & Sour Pork Sauce. I'm a Chinese and this is my FIRST time eating such a ridiculous Sweet & Sour Pork. It's literally Char Siew in Sweet & Sour Pork Sauce which is gross to be honest! The soup was alright but wasn't spicy enough and there wasn't an option to choose the spicy level. But amongst the 3 dishes, the soup was acceptable. On top of that, my delivery was late. It was supposed to be delivered by 7:50pm but it only got delivered at 8:20pm. This was totally disappointing!

Sometimes simple is best. Have been coming to, and ordering from here, for many years. Reminds me of being a kid and what a treat it was to go out for a Chinese dinner on a Saturday night. Complete with lazy susans, complimentary prawn crackers and gold waving cats, the service is always impeccable and friendly. The Flower Drum might get all the accolades for their fancy dishes and 5 star reviews, but give me simple food at very affordable prices that tastes just like a warm childhood hug from Nan any day.

A well fitted out and designed Chinese restaurant, the service and staff really made the experience authentic. However the food wasn’t up to the same standard. We ordered san chao bao, prawn vegetables, sweet and sour pork and dumplings and everything tasted bland and flavourless - it was quite disappointing. We had a table of 8 celebrating an engagement party and the staff were fantastic accommodating our needs and extra delightful bringing out the cake with plates. Overall the service was great but the food didn’t...
