Flinders Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Melbourne

I feel disrespected after my visit this week. I work in the area and I used to complement my lunch with a snack there. Apparently I made the most ridiculous question when I asked the guy at the till what was the picked onion, I wasn't sure and after he explained I went for the usual potato cake. After I ordered, he started talking with his coworker at his native language between laughs; I didn't take it personal, I don't understand his language and try to let it go. When my order was ready, I couldn't find my ticked and the guy started saying in English that I didn't even know what was a picked onion. I was leaving the store so I just pretend I didn't listen.

It is always a lottery knowing what kind of service I'm going to receive there. This one...

This would have to be the worst fish and chips on this entire planet, if there was a planet somewhere in this solar system that also had a fish and chip shop then I am happy to say the worst fish and chips in this entire solar system. Fish was overcooked , stringy, dry and just disgusting. Chips overcooked, potato cakes...HUH! No potato just a whole mess of batter and oil, Dim Sims must have been 10 years old, another disgusting item on their menu. I could go on and on and on.... Price was beyond comprehension. I would never recommend this place even if it was the last place on earth you could buy food, I would rather eat the dirt than go through that again. Please take my advice and never ever, ever...

A+ Service, with a courteous smile. Then the lunch came.😪 After waiting half an hour (2 tradie customers before us), we were offered a coffee(that we didn't order, a bloke two customers after us did), chips (that looked like they'd been fried in old oil for a month - we ate two or three of the best), fish (ok, after the batter was taken off 4/10), and the hamburger (what can I say. The brown leather (meat) was ...unique, if it was on the hot plate another second it would be unbreakable. Egg, bacon and bu were ok. Lettuce didn't survive).
