We’ve been to the Pier Provedore a couple of times now, but not to eat. Instead, we were there for coffee, hot chocolate and cakes. The coffee is full-body, strong, and not bitter - a good sign that the expresso machine is cleaned regularly. The hot chocolate drink and cakes are excellent. A relaxed, casual environment with reasonable prices.

100% fantastic homemade pastries and delicious coffee. If you visit with another then I'd suggest sharing a couple baked goods to maximise your ex experience. Visited twice for coffee and once for lunch, I can vouch for the burgundy beef pie and my fav: the sausage roll. Oh, tasted the gluten-free orange almond cake so can vouch for that too.

If you're popping by Flinders and looking for a meal this is a great place to get a sandwich or a meat pie. Had the sausage rolls ($6) and the steak sandwich ($21) and both didn't disappoint. Rustic place with a small backyard dining area. Definitely family friendly.

Posted as a warning. As others have mentioned there is a younger staff member who provides breakfast with a side of intimidating attitude. So much so that customers looking for a relaxing stress free breakfast should consider an alternative more welcoming and accommodating environment. While this staff member who appears to be a cook and a server did not serve our table, we watched on as they served another. For whatever reason the Cafe had run out of a particular item, and as challenging it must have been for the staff to make a change to their existing menu item, the small family who had come for a stress free breakfast did not deserve to have their breakfast literally thrown down in front of them with disdain. When it was pointed out that the agreed changes to the dish were not accommodated the family deserved an apology, instead they were served an arrogant shaming attitude and a confrontation ensured. Senior management was overlooking, and rather than accept responsibility and offer compensation they provided watery excuses of behalf of their own management failure. The Manager quipped "the kid is troubled and has anger attitudes" cool, not rare in the industry, commendable to provide work for such people, but keep them behind the service line like every other restaurant/Cafe in the world. The manager continued to dissolve himself and his business of responsibility "you should know for next time that there are only 8 bacon and egg rolls" 😆 mate, there won't be a next time, the poor family aren't coming back! neither are we! and sadly, neither should those looking for a...

Unfortunately this cafe has lost our patronage due to the rude attitude and insolent behavior from one of the young staff and owner! We are local Peninsula residents who drive into Flinders regularly for lunch/afternoon tea. When a simple specific request was ignored by staff which was accepted by us with a tongue in cheek banter, we found rude outspoken staff with attitude blaming us rather than apologizing. They had also accepted our money and order but started clearing the table before we were finished. This happened twice. Whilst quietly finishing our order we then had the owner come to our table speaking incredibly rudely. We were flabbergasted at the arrogance toward patrons that keep them in business!! There are quite a few cafes in Flinders, so I strongly suggest to go elsewhere for friendly service with staff that put the customer first! This cafe...

We went to this cafe this morning for the first time ever. Went to the counter and ordered 2 coffees and a cheese tomato toastie. Was brought a toastie with ham. Explained we'd ordered a cheese tomato one. Owner then marches out aggressively with said toastie and lets fly with the most amazing display of poor manners and hostility about the toastie. We explained we'd never been here before and had no idea the only food selection was around the corner and that ham toastie was the option. He was belligerent and quite breathtakingly rude. If Basil Fawlty ran a cafe he'd run it like this. I feel disappointed for the young staff with that as the customer service role model. Clearly we...
