I feel really bad for writing this review ... but DO NOT go here for sourdough. Was initially excited to see this artisan sourdough bakery. However very disappointed when I saw the sourdough loaves. The loaves had none of the markers of a good sourdough. Instead of being golden, they were pale. No ear. No blistering. No open crumb, looked quite dense. I suspect oven was not hot enough, weren't baked long enough or the starter was not happy. However, the customer service was wonderful, staff were friendly and the pies were a notch above. Beach buns were also quite good, appreciated the sugar on top.

An amazing all-things-sourdough bakery tucked away in a little shed at Flinders. This sourdough berry and almond cream pastry was light and flakey and so dam tasty. Combined with the locally roasted coffee; this was my perfect breakfast. P.s. I couldn’t resist and bought myself a loaf of fig and apricot sourdough and loved it too!

How many regional bakery reviews have you read about the "best" pies and the "best" sausage rolls? Most are average, a few are good and then there's Flinders Sourdough: pies are very good and sausage rolls outstanding! Coffee fairly average though and I haven't tried the bread, but it looked legit.

Had the worst food experience at this Bakery on New Years Day, the sausage roll we purchased was hard dry and tasteless(grey processed meat) - not even tomato sauce could redeem this cardboard monstrosity, which is concerning as I am not a picky eater.

I was convinced it was frozen! surprised given this bakeries reputation.. I searched their reviews and there was a picture from another poster of a sausage roll that looked nothing like the one we purchased... what a conspiracy.. did they buy in cheap frozen sausage rolls? My only regret is not taking a picture.

This bakery is renowned for their bread, my advice is to stick to what...

A cue to a bakery is usually a good indicator for me, and whilst waiting in line I was sussing out what everyone in the nice sitting area were eating. Based on what I saw I couldn’t make up my mind as all the food looked great!! I went for a sausage roll (classic me) and was NOT disappointed. The moisture content as well as flavour to texture ratio was off its nut and there was also minimal oil that I associate with bad ones. The pastry was perfect and overall I left definitely knowing...
