Had a bad experience during lunch. We are the first time diners. The owner was very rude. We ordered for chicken and fish curry rice. When we were served, he kept on serving the veggies on top of we ordered. After dining, While we paid the bill, he took about 3mts to provide us the bill which made me really suspicious. He charged us with all the veggies that he served us which he didn’t inform us well in advance as it’s going to be extra charge. We don’t mind in paying for what we eat, but we are first timers and do not have an idea. He also charged us for eating inside and put a service charge on top of our bill. We questioned him when we settled down the bill and he became upset and asked us to go and check in the Indian Restaurant as they charge more u eat. This made me to think he was bit spreading the racism and we paid off the bill and came. While we got into the car, he came again and threatening us if we post the reviews , we will be under a big threat. Also, he mentioned there were lots of ministers coming to his restaurant for dining and he doesn’t care about our service. All we asked him is, just pls tell us well in advance as how much you are going to charge us. There may be lot of new people coming in. We tried to just improve his services, but he became very rude on us. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant...
Read moreI have been a regular customer at this place and their food has always been top class and delicious but reason for my 5 star is not cuz of their food. I ordered a sea food fried rice last night and when I brought the food home, I realized it had chicken in it. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke to the owner. He knew I don't eat meat and knew they had stuffed up. Instead of coming up with excuses, he stood up and owned their mistake and asked me if I was able to come and collect another pack of rice without meat. I mentioned I am unable to do that and he immediately asked for my address and said he will deliver a new pack of fried rice to my place. He didn't know I was just 10 minutes away from their restaurant and he was willing to drop that down even if it was an hour away. This goes to show the attitude of the owner. Most of the businesses these days are in it to make money and it seems like these guys are in it for a bigger reason than that. It's even more surprising to see this from a Sri Lankan restaurant as I've had so many substandard experiences previously from few other Sri Lankan restaurants. Thank you for your gesture of exceptional customer service! It's pleasing to see such businesses are out there and I wish you guys all...
Read moreWe walked in hoping for a hearty plate of rice and curry. Instead, we left with fried rice that felt more like "just rice." Sure, it tasted great, but the balance was off—way more rice than meat or veggies. Portion sizes need serious improvement.
When customers are paying $15.50 for rice and curry with 2 meats and 2 veggies, or $15.95 for fried rice with just 1 meat and 1 veggie, it feels like a raw deal. And when I asked for a fair portion of meat, being told "It’s the dinner menu" just felt dismissive. To top it off, the girl who served me looked at me like I was the one in the wrong. I ignored them on purpose, but the attitude didn’t go unnoticed.
If the food is already delicious, why not complete the experience by offering portions that feel worth the price and service that respects your customers? No one wants to leave feeling shortchanged...
