*UPDATE *
After our unplesant experience the team contacted me to make amends for what had happened. Everyoje has bad days and opening a new establishment is stressful. We gave Wolf on Wotton a second chance and I am so glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing, great fusion flavours actually done well. The staff were all super lovely, and th atmosphere is just what werribee has been lacking. 100% recommend. So glad to have a new local.
We were super excited to try out this trendy new cafe in Werribee and the excitement of a local, slightly up market bar in the coming weeks. Safe to say my friends and I won't be coming back, which is sad because this place has so much potential. We waited for well over half an hour for 3 smoothies- people came in after us and got served meals before our drinks came. One of my friends saw our server (who is apparently the owner of the joint) make a comment as if to realize he had forgotten our order? When they did come out there was no apology on the long wait just a "I put the straw in one and ruined it so you I left the other two for you guys to do so you can see the presentation" which we were all taken aback by.
When we went to pay the girl asked how things were, we told her about the wait and even she was shoked and said it shouldn't take that long. She was alright with splitting the bill but accidentally put through the first payment wrong. No stress on our end we'd just fix it up between us. She went to get her manager- who was our server. He was rude towards us for trying to work out what exactly had been paid for, told us that WE were "making a meal out of it" for simply asking which items hadn't paid for so we could work out between us who needed to pay for what, and who had to pay me back for being over charged. Never once did he apologize for the inconvenience, nor did he offer me a refund for over charging me and was all round extremely rude. 0/10 would...
Read moreBeing a coffee enthusiast and a foodie I try to find more and more quality cafes. One fine morning me and my mate decided to go to Wolf on Watton hoping for a nice breakfast and coffee. The coffee was great and brekkie was fine too. However, the moment we sat down on our table, the entire experience that was to eventuate was spoilt. We entered the cafe and no one was next to the counter to guide us. The cafe had 80% of the tables empty. We then went on to sit on an unoccupied table with no reserved sign.
The staff or the owner, not sure, came to the table and in a really passive aggressive and rude manner (similar to discriminatory behaviour) asked us did you wait at the door, did someone allocate this table to you? I said no this is the first time I am here I just took a table like any other cafe in Australia. She then told me in a really impolite tone to wait at the door next time.
As a reviewer I believe in transparency, and I even give better reviews than I should in most cases. However, a cafe owner or a waiter can never say something to a customer that would insult them or make them feel embarrassed. She could have easily said, just fyi guys, sometimes we get a lot of bookings so in busy hours please ask us before taking a table.
All the cafes I go to have super nice staff, and kind/polite with customers. The wolf on watton has no manners to talk to customer. Alright, you don’t like your job, or you’re having a bad day, don’t take it out on a customer. I guess the owner has concerned by that fact that multiple reviewers have mentioned about staff being rude.
I am pretty sure if they knew me personally or knew my position they would be super nice. But sorry to say i sensed a...

Two of us walked in for dinner after reading the positive reviews online, and it was last minute so we didn't expect to be seated. We were hoping to be seated inside but only outdoor seating was available, which we were fine with. But the waitress that seated us really went out of her way to follow up with indoor seating when it became available (something we don't normally see when dining at busy places), but we decided to stay outside as the weather and vibe was nice.
We ordered the polenta chips for entree and the steak and gnocchi for mains. The polenta chips were nice and crispy. Maybe the mains could have arrived warmer but they still tasted delicious, so no complaints there. The gnocchi is probably the best I've eaten at a restaurant thus far, which my partner also agreed with.
Cappucino and affogato to finish our evening which tasted really good. We are coffee snobs that go around trying coffee all the time and this is up there with the best.
Other than the great food and drinks, the thing that stood out the most for us was the hospitality and customer service of every staff member we came into contact with. Everyone had a really positive and friendly and extremely helpful attitude. And you can tell that everyone was passionate about customer service.
It was really unexpected to see in Werribee but our overall experience at Wolf on Watton was fantastic. The staff team effort to serve customers was, for me the best of any restaurant I've been to. I used to work in hospitality so I really pay attention to the small details.
I wish the business all...
