Glen Waverley Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Melbourne

I cannot heap enough praise on this establishment. I have been coming here for over 5 years and whilst the transition to the current owners was bumpy at the start, it has smoothed out and they have made this place even better.

Where to start? The souvlaki is made with proper spit-roasted lamb, not the fake sausage style meat you get from glenny kebabs. It is cooked and seasoned to a juicy perfection with plenty of fresh vegetables in the wrap and a decent amount of tzatziki.

The chips are fresh, crispy and golden brown with just the right amount of chicken salt to do them justice. Gravy was not something i considered to go on chips before I came here, but it is now a regular staple if I come here with friends.

A single $8.50 schnitzel burger will feed me (a 6'4, growing teenager) and leave me full for hours on end. It is perfectly cooked and honestly amazing for the price. Even if they put it up to $10, I would buy it. It absolutely smokes the competition in Schnitz, Grill'd and YOMG nearby. Would 100% highly recommend.

The noodle bar is a fantastic innovation that serves fresh and authentic asian cuisine in nice sized portions. The mongolian beef is a favourite, which I would highly recommend.

The service here is always the highlight. The lady behind the counter (who's name I still haven't grabbed after 3 or so years) is friendly and does not hesitate to be generous with portion sizing for chips, overflowing the paper bag and even putting more inside the plastic bag itself.

I cannot recommend this place more. IT IS AMAZING!!!!

Been going here since high school back in 2008. Since it's changed over it's amazing too. The owners are fabulous people who take care of their customers for sure. They are hard workers and you will be surprised at the love they put into their food. Much respect to them they are good people and have served the community for so long. Their chips are amazing, I've tried their Asian dishes to the wraps and burgers. It's definitely the best chips around in Glen Waverley. What do I know? The staff is very friendly, the service is quick and the taste is pretty good.

The burgers are our favourite. They are huge and are juicy. The focaccia roles are equally delicious.

The chips are always crispy and hot. The chicken is juicy, nicely flavoured and they give an additional piece on the house once in a while. They are very generous with the fries as well.

The freshly cooked noodles and rice is also pretty good. The salads are fulfilling and pretty heavy. They have a decent selection on the drinks as well. Also, there is parking available right in front of the store if...
