I recently ordered takeaway from Miss Pickle 1971 in Glen Waverley, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the quality of the food to the service, there were several aspects that fell short of expectations.
To start, I ordered an open lamb gyros. While the chips accompanying the dish were a highlight, being well seasoned and crunchy, the overall experience was marred by other elements. The salad, which was described as such, turned out to be more of a vinegary coleslaw. This choice didn't complement the gyros well and felt out of place. Additionally, the lamb itself was just okay, lacking the distinct charcoal flavour that is often expected and enjoyed in a good gyros.
One of the major issues I encountered was with the restaurant's service. They gave me the wrong order initially, which resulted in me having to drive back to collect the correct one. Despite phoning ahead, it was disappointing to discover that they hadn't even started preparing the order, causing an unnecessary delay and inconvenience. This lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer satisfaction was a significant letdown.
Furthermore, I found the food at Miss Pickle 1971 to be overpriced, considering the portion size and quality. When compared to a nearby establishment, Glenny Kebabs, the food at Miss Pickle 1971 paled in comparison. Given the subpar experience and the availability of better alternatives, it's unlikely that I will return to Miss...
Read moreI've been a regular customer at Miss Pickle for some time, but my recent visit left me deeply disappointed. Today, I had a concerning encounter with the individual who seems to be the owner or manager.
First and foremost, the quality of the food was far from what I've come to expect from this establishment. It was below par, and the meat, in particular, tasted no better than what you'd find at a typical kebab shop. This was a stark departure from the delicious meals I've enjoyed in the past.
What really dampened my experience, however, was the apparent prioritisation of profit over customer satisfaction. It was evident that the owner's focus on maximising revenue took precedence over ensuring a pleasant dining experience. During my visit alone, I couldn't help but feel unwelcome and ignored.
I believe that a good restaurant experience should be about more than just making money; it should also be about creating an enjoyable atmosphere for customers. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Miss Pickle fell short of meeting these expectations.
I hope that the management takes this feedback to heart and works towards improving both the quality of their food and the customer...
Read moreFrist time trying from the Ms.Pickle franchise...and I got really sick and bad case of food poisoning the same night after eating here (5th October 2023). Ordered the mixed open souvlaki. I unfortunately decided to try something a little different other than chips and chose the lemon potatoes...these tasted off or likely got me sick as my friends who got chips were fine.
Food: Portion of meat and tzatziki sauce was small, plated with lots of slaw/veggies ("super salad") but this was just plain and dry without any dressing. Lemon potatos tasted like it was sour and had an off taste. Meat was underseasoned and not hot fresh, disappointing seeing and being able to smell the charcoal spit right there and from outside. Meat was also chopped up to crumby little pieces which was also annoying to eat.
Atmosphere/service: Music playing over was also really loud.
The staff was ok, but the food was very disappointing.
We also had a jug of lemon lime bitters which came out first, but no table water was served. I think water should be provided to all tables shortly after seating without needing to ask for it.
Lots of improvements needed at...
