We had an excellent dinner experience at Haidilao. Despite it being our first time trying Haidilao, the waiters were patient and understanding, helping us set up our table as well as explain how to use the tablet to order our food. We were also there to celebrate a birthday, to which they catered to our requests very nicely, singing a birthday song, and giving some cute freebies (toys and snacks) to the birthday girl. The atmosphere was bright and lively, with some performances through the night, the most entertaining being the hand-pulled noodles dance, as not only did we get to enjoy an entertaining performance, but we also tasted some delicious hand-made noodles, which had a nice bouncy and chewy texture. Additionally, we tried the tomato soup base and tom yum soup base, both of which were delicious, and as for the dishes, some of our personal favourites include the fried steamed bun with condensed milk, deep fried milk, shrimp paste, and octopus. Unfortunately, the fortune gold bag was rather disappointing. There were lots of free snacks on offer, both outside and inside Haidilao, as well as a free sauce station, and free dessert (self-serve ice and jelly section), which was a nice addition to our meal. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Haidilao, and though prices were a bit on the pricy side - as expected - the excellent service, as well as the performances and freebies throughout the night made up for most of it.

If you are doing hotpot in a restaurant, do it for the atmosphere and service and not food itself. Why? Because the ingredients are similar to what you can get at home for a hotpot as they are mostly raw meats and vegetables. HOWEVER if you want the EXPERIENCE of a hotpot this place is the best I've been to so far. The service is outstanding, the waiting staff is very attentive and helpful and they are in general very friendly. The atmosphere is excellent as well with nice decor and everything. The waitress there offered blankets to cover coats as it can get messy eating hotpot. The food quality is great, no complaints and there are many options ranging from classic to exotic. My friend and I chose from the lunch set which was $100. The key idea of hotpot is you get the raw stuff and cook them in the broth (soup base) so your food experience will vary depending on your knowledge of how to cook everything (there's also a guide and you can ask the staff for help) so if you have the skills and equipment you can recreate the food at home. Overall it's a very enjoyable meal and I would say it's more of an experience than just for filling your stomach and that's what's unique about this place.

Haidilao was the perfect way to celebrate a special birthday. They made the birthday person feel very special, there was live entertainment, and a noodle dance to top off the meal. The food was great, with all you can eat/make sauces and cold food buffet. The soup was delicious, the tripe one was flavourful and didn't taste like they were loaded with MSG. The service was top notch with constant attentive visits to clear plates and the soup. The waitresses were very courteous and polite. Robots roaming around- very futuristic. I have never been to a restaurant with such high attention to details. From snacks while waiting, aprons, bags for your masks, hair ties and a manicure service as well. To top it off, we received a very high quality manicure from May. The best manicure I have ever received. She was careful, and detailed making sure that the best colours were chosen and making our nails look amazing. You're awesome May! We must come back! Incredible! Definitely a meal with an experience. Was a little pricy but worth it for special occasions! Thank you Haidilao, 5 stars!

GET KICKED OUT OF HAIDILAO We got kicked out of the restaurant because we stayed ~ 2.5 hours (including 40 minutes waiting for the food to arrive) I have never heard that Haidilao will limit eating time. Today at 4:34 we ordered food but it took 40 minutes for the food to come out even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. We asked the staff 3 times why the food hadn't come out yet, all the answers we got were that the food would be ready soon. Then at around 6:10 p.m, a man in black appeared, I think he was the manager, he told us we had been sitting for too long and asked us to leave because they had other tables booked??? But we couldn't leave straight away because we were still eating. 20 minutes later he came back and continued to urge us to eat quickly. This ruined our entire experience!!!😡 If you are planning to visit Haidilao, I would recommend Haidilao Emporium, not here. Also the staff will always speak Chinese to you, so always ask for English. We spent the total of $79 for two.

Haidilao is best known for their outstanding service but that is not the case for The Glen branch.(our visit is on Monday evening) Some of the waitstaffs seem disinterested, they kept slamming the cabinet door (storage ones) even though some of them already broke. Our group even have to wave repeatedly to get their attention each time , which we don’t have to do at Westfield Sydney branch. I only hope the management will rectify this in the future. However, the food quality is still very good and they are all delicious. The deep fried taro balls are nice and soft. The duck intestine is nice and crispy. The condiment station is full of goodies. Every soup we have is also tasty. And the complimentary snack at the front is a nice touch. We spend $230 for 4 of us. All in all, if their service is at least on par with some other branches, I would highly recommend you guys to give a a try. That is my opinion.

Ok today is not our usual after games lunch but is a celebration and we decided to book a table of 8 at this Haidilao Hotpot at The Glen, after we had it at Singapore and Malaysia. Service & Ambience [3.5] We were served by a lady who is great. She took care of our needs and assisted us in many ways. One set back though - as we are 8 people, the table given to us seems to fit 6 max so we had to squeeze with elbows hitting or avoiding each other. Food [4]. We would say their food standard are quite good, however as this is a hotpot so it really depends on your cooking ability. Their desert or side dishes section isn't as great as the Haidilao at Singapore and because those of us sitting in the middle of others, seems inconvenience to get out to get food. We didn't see if there is any ice cream though. Overall a great place to host party or celebration as they sing and encourage you to participate.
