Grumpy Papi's Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Ordered an egg sandwich on wholemeal and a medium long black. The sandwich was just as I would have wanted with a good amount filling and very fresh bread.

I have black coffee and focus a lot on the taste. The barista asked if I would like an ice cube in it to ensure it could be drunk sooner. This thoughtfulness already let me know that they care about the coffee and the drinking experience for the customer. Obviously this care extended to the selection of the beans and how a coffee is prepared. I was not disappointed. The coffee was robust in flavour and aroma. I came to this café famished and I left it satisfied. They do a great almond latte which means the coffee beans from Genovese suits most milks i am pleased to report :). The chef made me the perfect Salmon Benedict on sourdough and together with my coffee became the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. I ate at 10 and I’m still full at 2pm! The portion sizes are just what you need in your main meals. If you haven’t tried them yet and you’re in Mornington they are absolutely worth the stopover! Went into to order a medium latte with soy milk. Normal price for a medium coffee was 5.40$ and l was being charged an extra 2$ for soys milk!! When l questioned this, as l have never been charged this much for a coffee with soy milk before, the owner became extremely rude and abusive, even swearing at me and then refused to make my coffee as l questioned the price! Beware coffee drinkers as you will be charged an extra 75$ on top of the price for a different milk!! Can now see why this place...
