Wow I can’t believe I have to write this review because I’ve met the owners of this restaurant and they were the nicest people what an absolute shame . My friend ordered tacos on Sunday Feb 23rd and not long after he has had a sore stomach and last night threw up over 20 times. I’ve never seen someone throw up so many times ever. He had no food after because he couldn’t eat after eating those tacos. He can’t barely walk at this point .Called the restaurant to speak to manager and a lady answered saying the manager was in but how can I help you . As I told her my concerned I said can I speak to a manager as I think it’s best and then she proceeded to tell me she was the manager 👀 Why couldn’t you just say yes how can I help I am the manager ?????? After explaining the situation I was rudely told by Tori that I was ranting and she couldn’t speak to me anymore if this continued. I wasn’t rude but her attitude was a disgrace and not someone I would let be a manager at my store. I was talking to her with my mum in the car and to be told I’m ranting is an absolute disgrace and I’ve completely taken offence to her response and it’s not right on how she responded so at this point I would never go back to this store based off the response from the manager Tori. You need to go back to a customer service course to learn the proper way to respond to a concern when someone calls. Read moreJust had a very late snack here, and again was really happy with the food and service. I was excited to try this New Mexican place when it opened last year & have never been disappointed. The fresh ingredients & flavour are awesome. I’ve read a lot of the reviews and I appreciate that not everyone has had the same experience. People need to remember it’s a new store and there’s always going to be teething issues; getting staff (when so many people don’t want to work these days), training new staff, understanding the ebb and flow and trying to determine when it will be busy and when it’s not etc New businesses take time & everyone needs to be patient. This food chain is a godsend to this side of town & it will continue to grow & improve, be patient. It’s not 5 star dining, it’s fast food, better than your average fast food stores like McDonalds and KFC so enjoy the variety. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and was pleasantly surprised at their commitment to their staff and customers. It’s obvious they want this business to succeed in the way they treat their staff & customers. It’s so easy to write negative reviews but no one seems to take the time to write positive reviews. Read moreBe great if the staff actually new anything about the food they were serving. I asked what was gluten free and was met with a nervous grimace and uncertainty only to ask another worker. Asked if the nacho chips were gluten free only for them to be unsure again and then so no?
After looking at the allergen statement it seems most items or not 100% GF but are possibly cross contaminated which is completely fine for some people but the staff did not even say that. You would think staff would get proper training on what allergens are in food.
From a quick google it seems the only NOT gluten free items are the tortillas, ketchup and Churros. Everything has to be put down as “May contain” as it is not a gf kitchen which is understandable.
After asking well what can I eat then? Being told the bowls, sure that would be fine but I then wasn’t explained what would come in the bowls? Or what meats I could have? What extra toppings would I like? No no I just have to know that all myself for the first time being in this establishment.
It is already stressful enough having an allergy/intolerance or celiac but having to continuously ask questions just adds onto it. Train your staff properly or have it clearly stated on menus and maybe have staff that are a bit more friendly aswell?
