Heaven Woodfire Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

Conveniently located near Coles North Coburg, popped in for lunch choosing a couple of pizzas:

Mexicana - Pomodoro Sauce, Mozzarella, Chilli And Fennel, Salami, Green Capsicum, Spanish Onions, Kalamata Olives, Fresh Chilli & Garlic Oil

Napoletana - Pomodoro Sauce, Mozzarella, Anchovy Fillets, Kalamata Olives, Capers & Oregano

Lovely thin base that holds together and has a nice blistering on the bottom from the woodfire, the pizzas eat well with a nice balance of ingredients that work well together. The Mexicana has a little bit of a chilli kick in the sauce, elevating the taste. Gooey Mozzarella, salami for some meatiness, freshness of the capsicum and onions, salty kick from the olives, and the garlic oil adds a nice touch. I liked this best of the two.

The Napoletana is also delicious and has a slightly more salty kick from the anchovies and olives, plus the capers but they have a slight burst of acidity too. Gooey cheese, lovely sauce, a very enjoyable pizza.

I cancelled my order an hour and a half after I ordered my pizza. I was initially advised my delivery would be within the hour. The first time I called was an hour and ten minutes and I was advised my food was on the way and should reach me between 5-10 minutes. Sure enough another call was made to them 20 minutes later as still no food. I was advised they couldn’t get a hold of the delivery driver and would get a call back once they got a hold of the delivery driver. When I did receive a call a few minutes later, I was told my delivery would be another 5-10 minutes. When I asked when my delivery had left the shop, I was advised 45 minutes ago. I was offered new food to be made with another half hour wait - no thanks!! The first time I’ve ordered with them and NEVER AGAIN!! Absolutely disgraceful!! It’s past 9pm and left...

such beautiful food, only loss was for the donut balls. they were quite doughy and dense, still enjoyable but would’ve preferred them to be a little most cooked and a bit fluffier - might just be my personal preference. margherita and hawaiian pizza were very much enjoyable with lovely thin bases and not overly topped. the focaccia is so fluffy, soft and perfectly seasoned. nutella calzone looks exactly as advertised and so well balanced, not packed with nutella so you can enjoy the whole portion.

prices are extremely reasonable, what we ordered would have costed us double at other places we have been to. the two size options for pizza are such a great idea, my partner and i can usually only order one pizza due to sizing but we were able to try two with the small size option. highly recommend - no photos as we just...
