I have been a regular customer since the restaurant first opened. Recently, I went for the buffet and specifically asked the male staff whether everything was included and unlimited. He clearly said yes, all dishes including the made-to-order items on the iPad, except for drinks.
However, once I started eating and ordered 4 sets of salmon, another staff member came over and told me, “Did you read the sign? Salmon is limited to one set per person only.” There was a tiny sign that I hadn’t noticed. And how you expect customer to just come and read by self with no information clearly. To me, this felt like a tricky way to mislead customers, especially since I had already asked and was told it was unlimited.
In the end, I accepted to pay37.90$ plus an extra for 2 sets of Salmon , but I left feeling very disappointed. It was not worth the money at all. The buffet felt stingy and restrictive. If you want to enjoy salmon in a buffet, I recommend going to other Japanese brands where salmon is truly unlimited. Don’t waste your time and money here. Do not say “All You Can Eat “...
Read moreWorst experience at Hikaru. We’ve been here a few times and always had great experiences, but tonight was terrible - we won’t be coming back.
We arrived at 7:20pm and ordered all our sushi straight away, as staff mentioned last orders were at 7:30pm. That was fine since we knew what we wanted and were happy to eat from the sushi train. Midway through eating, we were suddenly asked to pay at 7:45pm - while my partner was literally mid-bite which felt really rude. He went to pay and confirmed if we could keep eating from the sushi train, and the staff said yes, for free.
Minutes later, they started clearing our dishes while we were still eating, then told us we’d actually need to pay for anything extra. When I asked why he made us pay earlier if we have to pay again anyway, the response was inconsistent and unhelpful.
The constant interruptions and hovering staff completely ruined the experience. I’ve never been asked to stop mid-meal to pay before - such poor service and hospitality. Really...

Their sushi is more like western style . Almost all sushi dishes are with western sauce topping . To be honest , the fish and seafood is not fresh enough. You can see the salmon and tuna fish , they are not shiny fresh and obversely they use the topping sauce to cover the taste .
However most of their dishes were just $3.5 and therefore I don’t expect too much on their food quality .
One thing I am really appreciated is that the staff provided a very great service . The staff were very efficient and polite.
Please be aware that they had already terminated the $20 off stamp card . I had collected half of the stamps and it made me very...
