Hok's Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

After visiting and have a couple of meals here I have always been satisfied. All their meals are cooked to order although this can make some orders take a little on the long side to get out but the quality is absolutely worth it. They also feature some great value lunch specials, which are a selection of burgers, wraps and chips all for the price of $10. The quality may not quite be the same as their main menu, but for the price it's exceptional. The restaurant is always clean and has a nice atmosphere, although they play regular radio stations which may not be quite to everyone’s taste.

My only small gripes is they give you a butter knife when you order a burger which is honestly inadequate especially if you ordered a steak burger. Some of the staff can also be what you'd call not quite up to professional standard, but that's not a big deal to...

My recent visit to Hoks Restaurant left much to be desired. The service was lackluster, with staff seemingly more interested in everything but attending to customers. Getting their attention felt like a mission impossible.

The real disappointment, however, was the food. I ordered a steak, hoping for a satisfying meal, but what I received was an overcooked piece of meat that resembled a leather sole more than a juicy steak. The veggies on the side were no better, having been transformed into a sad, mushy mess.

Sadly, Hoks failed to deliver on both service and culinary fronts, leaving me with an unpleasant taste in my mouth—both figuratively and literally. If you're looking for a place with quality food and attentive service, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Hoks fell short of the mark in...

We had a super lovely dinner here. Our first time here and won’t be our last! We both had steaks medium rare and they were cooked to perfection! 1 rump steak and 1 Chateaubriand Eye Fillet Steak, both were delicious and melt in your mouth. Servings are generous, which will please most people.

Service was great and the lady was very helpful and dinner was served quickly. We didn’t wait long at all.

Desert was yum and the Apple Delight was made to be shared. We do suggest you try it.
