Oriental Paradise Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

2 stars because the service was good and welcoming. If I only review the kitchen I am not impressed and to be honest not worth the fuel to drive there. I went there for lunch with my wife and to be honest, the entree were not a great start, bbq spare ribs, were almost nowhere to be seen, the king prawns cutlets, well, just out of the freezer bag you can buy at your supermarket and not the good ones. Main course was worse, I had the calamari with seasonal vegetables, all vegetables were from a can, only a couple of broccoli florets were there, the sauce, water consistency and flavourless. My wife had the chicken satay noodles, and the dish was really bad, watery sauce that comes from a cheap can with no flavour.

All in all, we didn't finish our main course it wasn't worth saving anything, nothing good could have come out of that kitchen. Very disappointing visit and we will not coming back. If you want decent Chinese food, go next door you will not be...

We went there for dinner. Waitress's service is friendly. but the whole size Peking duck that we ordered is not up to standard. The steam pancake was cold like it was just taken out from the fridge. The restaurant served the Peking duck slices in 2 separate plates and the slices of meat are NOT from the same duck based on the skin roasted texture and colour. The restaurant suppose to serve the remaining duck meat or use it to cook other dishes such as noodles or soup. But the restaurant didnt do that. Obviously, they didnt serve the whole duck as per we ordered. I do not recommend Beijing duck from this restaurant. I hope they can improve...
