Great quality sushi rolls - fresh, packed with generous filling, and well flavoured sushi rice. Their sushi rolls seem to be the best quality in the Docklands - especially when fresh as the nori works well with their sushi rice. They also serve a good selection of pre-made dishes such as gyoza, okonomiyaki (japanese pancakes), and a variety of noodles and rice dishes. The food here is generally okay but there are two problems with Ichi Maki. First of all, it doesn’t matter what time of year you go it is alway incredibly draughty downstairs. Request to sit upstairs is usually met with a perfunctory “No”, citing cleaning. Secondly, they tell you the price but it is not displayed anywhere. If you choose to pay with a card, they take the card and tap for you. Accordingly, I always ask for a receipt, which they don’t...

I came yesterday and was served by Kathy who was so polite and friendly and explained the vegitarian dishes well for me and my mum to pick what we wanted. Food came out nice and hot and didn't take ages. We ordered the vegitarian noodles with prawns and chilli, I have to say food was so amazing! Sushi was also amazing and fresh.
