We decided to eat here for a quick lunch and because we dined here before and loved it. This time around, it was underwhelming. It was a huge decline from the previous experience. The beef udon looked miserable for $30. It didn't have the same depth of flavour that one would expect in a japanese restaurant. The presentation was lacking too, but on that regard some people would probably brush it off, but some people care about that. It didn't taste any different from a Chinese takeaway and the chinese takeaway sometimes tastes a lot better than what we had today.

The edamame was okay which was probably the only saving grace of our meal.

We also had the tuna roll which was good too but not enough totake our mind off the egregious noodle.

We finished our food because we felt bad for the amount we're paying not because we enjoyed or lunch.

The servers didn't bother asking us for drinks or offering us water as they were too busy on their phones. It wasn't a busy day so I can see why that would happen. They didn't ask us how our food was either.

Maybe they're not having a great day so we might try coming back again but not for...

Utterly shattered this Mother's Day. All I wanted was sushi

Ordered 14 pieces mixed sushi/sashimi x3 for $35 EACH for a family of 6 which would normally sit us perfectly. Suffice to say we're now also also cooking which wasn't the original plan at all.

This is half the volume of a deluxe Bento for double the price. Each individual piece of nigiri was ½ the volume of a regular piece. Presentation of folding sashimi makes the box look slapstick and when opened, these pieces were also smaller than average. The tuna sashimi had a skin around the circumference which was weird as if it was processed. The cut was clean but the texture was uuugghhhh 🤢 very dry to the point it fell apart as if it was cooked tuna with the raw colour and not quite right flavour.

And that $105 total is somehow also $108 with no rundown of the extra $3 on the receipt 🤔

Never ordering from here again and now I know their idea of size portions, I will also never...

Had lunch here as we were craving for some Japanese food nearby. The food was good 3.8/5 but the service was a let down. The wait staff didn’t said Hi or greeted us when we came in. She looked grumpy and wasn’t smiling the whole time. First thing you ask customer when they sit down is if they would want to have a drink? But we were never asked instead I asked my son to grab the water bottle for us mid way through our meal. The thing is it wasn’t even busy, there’s only us and another family inside at that time. When it’s time to pay for our meal when I went up to her she didn’t even asked if the meal was ok? The only thing she asked was are you paying together? Then no thank you in the end. Then there was another customer that came in and I didn’t heard her said Hi instead he was greeted with “table for one?” and a frown. Very disappointed with the service. I hope she sees this and be a little welcoming...

Came here for dinner with my partner, and all the food was amazing! The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. - We got the Izumi Banquet and everything was delicious!! Sashimi and sushi were fresh and flavourful Kani Cream Croquettes were nice and crispy on the outside, with a smooth centre savoury. the sauces drizzled on top were amazing as well. Miso soup was warm and comforting, came with mushrooms and tofu in it as well and was divine. Pork gyozas were nice and crispy on the bottom, and served with a sweet sauce that paired quite nicely. Assorted tempura was a combination of sweet potato and prawn, both were very nice. Last we had the AMAZING Teriyaki Beef. it was so unbelievably tender and cooked to perfection, and the sauce was to DIE FOR.

I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately, I found the experience underwhelming. The flavour lacked depth with very little umami that you’d expect from Japanese cuisine. Instead, the dishes were more on the salty side, which didn’t leave a balanced impression. The portion sizes were also quite small for the price we paid which left us feeling dissatisfied. The yakiniku beef in particular, was overcooked and dry with a smoky flavour that initially seemed promising but didn’t deliver due to the lack of seasoning and moisture. The ambience was pleasant and the location is convenient. However, the food quality didn’t match the price point, leaving me disappointed overall. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself returning.
