This gourmet fish and chip joint is located in the summer hill shopping precinct, we were surprised of the quality of the burgers we got. We got cheese royales and a fish fillet with medium chips. We were also very surprised of the amount of chips we had got, it was a lot more than expected. The burgers we had, had a delicious taste and prices were amazing. I would highly recommend this as it is cheap and delicious way to feed the family, the burgers were very filling and we are already planning on going back here again. We also liked the background story of Jacky Jones and found it quite interesting. The prices were very cheap and would recommend this over a Big Mac, these burgers are a must have, this restaurant is conveniently located to the left of the main entrance and is a great stop off place if you are shopping or work within the precinct because the food came out reasonably quick. Updated information. June 19th. Hey guys.....what on earth has happened? Obviously you were exceptionally busy or something has drastically gone wrong and the wheels have fallen off the Reservoir store! Being a regular, we couldn't believe the drop off in quality and service. Ended up with grilled calamari instead of salt and pepper calamari, the most flaccid Greek salad and a mixture of STONE COLD chips and hot chips. It follows hot on the heels of you opening Coburg, so hopefully you were having an off night and not that this is now the norm for Reservoir. Since what appears to be new owners have taken over what used to be a 4 to 5 star fish n chips shop has...well...crashed and burned. They used to have great burgers with a wonderfully thick and juicy meat patty that were home made but now seems they found a box of meat patties that have fallen off a large burger chains truck! Serving up an overly well done/burned thin patty in a burger is not on as no one wants to try chomping on boot leather. Also sizes have shrunk and quality has dropped making it an awful experience. The fish pack we also bought...cold and oil soaked and just terrible. Tried this same order about 2 weeks before this last bad experience and that was probably a 2.5 star experience thinking it was just an off day but nope I was wrong.
