Rude and abrupt staff, no greeting or friendly service.
I wish I came on here and looked at the reviews in the past couple of months before making the last minute decision to treat my family to a well deserved brunch. I ordered the chicken and mushroom crepes, the filling was inedible, hard processed chicken with soggy mushrooms could not stomach it, the actual crepe was mooshy nothing like Iâve ever had before absolutely horrendous. Thought I would have some of the side salad to some what fill up but no, wilted mixed lettuce with vinegar, so sad.
Husband had the big breaky, nothing was cooked properly below average for almost $30 Ordered my daughter the kids fish and chips, the fish stank and chips were cold I couldnât let her eat it. Also maybe wash your table water bottles! Far out itâs really not that hard. For almost $60 this was super disappointing to say the least, we will not be returning and I really hope the owner or who ever responds to these reviews has a good hard look into their business and what they are serving to their customers, how their running their business and who is working for them. If not I can guarantee this place will close down in no time. Looking forward to your...
Read morePoor quality over all. After several visits Iâm completely fed up with the lack of attention to detail, low quality and mis advertised products.
Smashed avocado that has been mixed with onion and tomato is Guacamole, not Smashed Avocado.
Forgetting to add Halloumi to one of the only dishes that has Hallloumi is just plain lazy.
Forgetting to deliver banana loaf to the table when the customersâ coffee comes out; only for them to deliver the second part of the order and you demanding a refund is terrible service.
Watching a food runner place a meal (next) to a customer instead of in front of them; forcing them to grab the plate and put it in front of them Themselves - bad service.
In the 70-80 times that Iâve visited Jamaica Blue over the past 2 years itâs been completely hit and miss. Here are some of the experiences:
Soggy (crispy) maple bacon, several times.
Doughy pancakes that were ridiculously thick and tasteless.
Cold coffee, several times.
Nonchalant service quality from staff, several times.
I think from this culmination of experiences, itâs time for me to stop eating at Jamaica Blue; Iâve lost confidence...
Read moreThis is a really nice little cafĂ© tucked away from the busier parts of town. Itâs kind of a hidden spot, which I love, because you donât have to deal with the usual crowd and noise youâd get in the main activity centre. Itâs quiet, chill, and just a great place to relax, catch up with a friend, or even get some work done.
Whatâs even more impressive is that this cafĂ© made it through COVID, which not many places around here did. Itâs still going strong, and honestly, it feels like itâs gotten even better since then. That kind of staying power usually means theyâre doing something rightâwhether itâs the service, the food, or just the overall vibe.
The food here is solid. Nothing super fancy, but everything Iâve had tastes fresh and well-prepared. Itâs a nice mix of light bites and more filling options, depending on what you're in the mood for. The drinks are great tooâreasonably priced and with a good variety to choose from. Whether you want a proper coffee, a tea, or something cold and refreshing, youâll find something you like.
Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and want somewhere a bit...
