Just OK. The base of the soup/dry noodles are all the same so the different flavours really come from your choice of protein which gets placed on top (grilled chicken was the best, beef were cold cuts – don’t recommend). The curry soups were hearty and had a spicy kick to it rounded by a coconut aftertaste. We all found the soup noodles to be quite salty even with the added coconut milk. We couldn’t finishing these. The fried chicken was nicely seasoned and very juicy but unfortunately, the tempura pumpkin was soggy and oily.

I was disappointed to find out that the ‘Chicken and Prawn Wontons Khao Soi Soup‘ were just a few wontons in a soup broth without noodles considering that it was listed as ‘Special’. All the other dishes on the menu including permanent menu items also labelled ‘Special’ dishes had noodles or rice (noodles or rice + a protein seemed to be the selling point of this restaurant) so it seemed weird that it was one of the higher priced dishes at $24.9, didn’t have a carb, especially since wontons typically come with noodles. Not to mention, Khao Soi is literally a noodle soup! I ended up asking for a side of the plain boiled noodles (+$4) after confirming its absence with the waitress. My friends insisted on waiting for me to get my noodles but unfortunately they hadn’t come out until 10 minutes later by which point my soup had gone cold and wontons became soggy – not worth $28.9. I think the waitress must have forgotten as she walked past heaps and only had an alarmed look on her face when my partner made eye contact. It would be helpful if servers were to let customers know that the dish doesn’t come with rice or noodles as the lack of description makes this unclear or at least list rice/noodles as add-ons directly under dishes without it included. There was a photo but even so, the wrinkles on the wontons submerged in the soup very much resemble the wavy shape of the noodles.

Finally, the service felt rushed as after we placed our order we were given our bill almost immediately and told to pay at the front. It didn’t help that we had waitresses hovering around to collect our bowls even when we still had food in it. I think place has potential and I’d like to give it another chance one day but they've missed...

My group of friends (14 of us) we went to get dinner for our friends birthday but we were mistreated. half of us wanted to share dishes because we weren’t all that hungry, we went up to the register to order our food which was weird because other waitresses took other tables orders? and we had to immediately pay; which was weird because others tables paid AFTER they ate. 5 minutes has passed and our waitress came up to us and told us everyone had to at least order a dish each because we were not allowed to share food?? which was AGAIN, peculiar because i saw a table of 5 sharing only 2 dishes? also why did they not tell us BEFORE we had paid? our waitress then told us the people who didn’t order a dish of their own either order or we will forced to leave? keep in mind, all 14 of us are TEENAGERS, our ages range from 14-18 and of course, we don’t have much money. how could we possibly afford 14 SINGULAR dishes?! the birthday girl called the waitress over and asked why are we not allowed to share but the waitress just walked off while my friend was in the middle of talking. then, me and the people who didn’t order a dish for ourselves were then told to leave and we did just that as we didn’t want to make it a big deal; even though it quite was. our whole group believes that we have been taken advantage of us as we are a big group of teenagers. we were forced to order so much food that we 1. cannot afford 2. cannot finish. and the service was just not it. other people didn’t have to get up to the register and pay straight away as their orders were taken by a WAITRESS and paid AFTER eating. my group, our waitress didn’t take our order so we had to go to the register and pay straight away. we believe this is completely unfair as our money had been spent. i hope this place comes accountable to this negative encounter and i hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. i also hope that everyone who did enjoy this restaurant, please don’t hate them as they are human too and...

I had been looking forward to coming here for a few weeks now, but was utterly disappointed with my experience tonight.

The food was ok, ordered khao soi chicken, the portion of the chicken was generous but it was a bit dry and served cold, not much pickle came with the set, the curry base was good.

2 mins after ordering, I was going through Google review photos and came across a menu photo, I asked the staff if they still have an entrée item from it, pointing on the menu photo which was marked $12.9, she puts the order in. The entrée didn't come until we both finished the noodle and thought maybe the order didn't go through. We ended up having it as takeaway.

When paying at the counter, I asked to check the items list of the order as the price seems incorrect, the lady(manager I think) repeated our order but didn't want to print it out initially, when she finally did, I realized we were charged $20.9 for the entrée. I explained to her what happened and she just replied that the $12.9 was for small size, they only have large size now. I told her that I showed the photo with price to the staff, asking if they still have it and she ordered it, I was not informed that it would be a large size with a different price. But she kept repeating that they don't have small size. Didn't want to argue much, so we just paid the bill and left.

Why would something be ordered in and served if they didn't have it in the first place? If they don't have the smaller size, why was this not clarified when the photo was shown to the staff before putting through an item of different serving size/price?

I felt deceived and left quite disappointed with how they managed the situation after explaining...

Me and my girlfriend got there around 6:50PM and had to wait about 30 minutes – not surprising given how popular the place is on social media. It’s a two-story restaurant, but it still feels a bit cramped even with the high ceilings. She ordered the Khao Soi Grilled Chicken, and I went with the Khanom Jeen Nam Ngeo so we could try a bit of both. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive. The prices were generally fair – not too expensive, but not exactly cheap either. That said, the way the food was served felt more like a takeaway spot than a dine-in restaurant. Portion sizes were decent – especially considering how rich the soup was, given that if it’s in a bigger bowl, it would’ve been a struggle to finish. The grilled chicken was juicy and the soup had a nice coconut aroma. Some side dishes came with it too, which were a nice touch. Unfortunately, the Khanom Jeen Nam Ngeo was a bit of a letdown. Not sure if it was because it’s near the end of the day and the soup got more concentrated, or if it’s just meant to be that way, but it was too salty for me -personally– especially the blood jelly. Also, the spice level felt much higher than what was shown on the menu (definitely not a level 1). I ended up leaving half the bowl. As for the service, the staff seemed pretty tired – probably just overwhelmed with how busy it was – and we didn’t really get much help with the menu. When we went to pay, no one asked how the meal was or anything. All in all, maybe there are better dishes I haven’t tried yet, but based on today’s visit, I don’t think I’ll be rushing back anytime soon.
