I hate any restaurants that make you order with a QR code, this shop at least gives you the option to order at the counter. We didnt go there for a seafood boil but for the classic filipino foods. Which where alright nothing special, Fried chicken and speghetti was not really that great, chicken had no seasoning and looked like the oil was old and the speghetti was about the only redeeming thing about this dish as it tasted just like you would get it in the philippines. The food other food we tried was alright but nothing to that I think would justify the price paid. When we first looked at the halo halo I was shocked that it was $23 but what we got for that was a show. It was visually appealing and tasted great, by far the only thing that redeemed this from getting a worse review. Servers were slow removing finished dishes and only removed any plates once our desert arrived. 1 word to sum it up was disappointing, maybe they treat you differently when you get the...

We had high hopes for Kalye Marinas, and while there were some highlights, the overall experience was a bit hit-and-miss.

On the positive side, the food came out quickly, which we appreciated. The Filipino spaghetti was a standout – sweet, nostalgic, and well-balanced. The Halo-Halo Bingsoo was definitely the star of the meal; both the ube and mango flavours were refreshing and delicious – a must-try for anyone visiting.

However, other dishes fell a little short. The sisig was quite bland and lacked the punch of flavour and seasoning you’d expect from such a classic dish. Similarly, the fried chicken could have used more seasoning to bring it to life.

We also found the pricing to be on the higher side considering the portion sizes and flavour profile of some dishes.

Overall, Kalye Marinas has potential, especially with its dessert offerings, but there’s room for improvement on the savoury side...

Very disappointing experience today. Came here a month ago and loved the food so brought my friends here for the second time. Very different experience from last time. The dishes and bowls given were dirty- one of them still has rice on it! Eventually we gave up so we were cleaning the spoons and dishes using tissues ourselves - which is ridiculous. When they cleaned the table, the water cup was accidentally pushed and my friend’s pants got wet! For many times we were trying to get some service but was so difficult! We feedback at the end but there only simple apologies from the front desk - the manager does not even wanna see us. For the meal $75 pp, this is not what...

Always a treat when you find Filipino restaurants in Melbourne that hits authentic flavours of home. Been craving for sisig so I thought I would come and try it here and it didn’t disappoint. Although I like my sisig sizzling and crackling, their sisig was still on point. The pork belly Bbq is the best one I’ve had here in Melbourne.. The garlic fried rice was a bit uncooked and dry. The snow bingsoo halo halo was yummm! The Leche flan was just a bit too small, you won’t even taste it’s there because it’s overpowered by the ube flavours. Overall was a good meal, not even the cold weather can stop me from having my dessert! Will definitely come back and try others on their menu.

First of all the decorations of the place were really nice and well made. A lots of effort put in which I appreciated. The use of a paper straws that didn't get soggy on you was very cool and I like that they looked to be bamboo. The food came out quick and was hot. I had the calamari and chips but everyone on the table enjoyed their food. The calamari wasn't greasy or oily and tasted good, the chips were crunchy and salty. Overall a positive experience, I would definitely come again

I only went here for dessert, but boy was it worth it! We got a shaved iced dessert and a banana split dessert. They were both phenomenal! The dulce de leche shaved ice was so great! Rich, but so easy to finish. The banana split was a bit dry, but still tasty and enjoyable. Not a massive fan of seafood, but I do have a massive sweet tooth and it definitely hit the spot!
