I am happy to provide a 5-star review for Lickt Ashburton! This ice cream shop is simply amazing and their Gelato is out of this world.

From the moment you step inside the shop, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they go out of their way to help you find the perfect Gelato flavour to suit your taste buds.

The Gelato at Lickt Ashburton is simply delicious. It's made with high-quality ingredients and you can taste the difference in every scoop. They have a wide variety of flavours to choose from, ranging from classic flavours like chocolate and vanilla to more adventurous flavours like pistachio and salted caramel.

One of my personal favourites is their hazelnut Gelato. It's creamy, nutty and just the right amount of sweetness. They also have seasonal flavours that change regularly, so there's always something new to try.

The Gelato is served in generous portions and the presentation is beautiful. It's clear that the team at Lickt Ashburton takes great pride in their work and wants to ensure that every customer has a wonderful experience.

I visited this ice cream shop today and had a disappointing experience. When I arrived, there was a customer in front of me, and while he took a bit of time, I was patient and understanding. Once he finished, I assumed it was my turn. However, the male staff member told me he couldn’t serve me because he was helping another customer with coffee. It felt like there was confusion about who should be served next.

What bothered me most was the way he handled the situation. He said, “I have the right to decide who is the next person to be served.” This comment felt unprofessional and unnecessary. While I can’t definitively say it was discrimination, it certainly came across that way, which left a bad impression.

On top of that, the gelato itself was disappointing. The taste was horrible—easily the worst I’ve had.and the recipe could use a serious update.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Better customer service and higher-quality products are needed if they want to improve the experience...

Amazing desserts! Whether you get gelato, brownies, cake or a coffee, you will always be served with a smile as the staff at Lickt are extremely friendly! The two people who were working at 4 pm today (3/11/22) were super kind and welcoming! They have a huge variety of gelato flavours, cakes and brownies so there is something perfect for everyone.

The texture of the gelato is unreal - it is so smooth and creamy! The flavours are rather good like ferrero rocher, hazelnut, snickers, vanilla and chocolate (which are all heavenly) although some flavours are a tad artificial tasting or overly strong. The servers are really generous, especially with trying portions though unfortunately, the sizes of the gelato cups are kind of small considering the prices (compared to other places I've been to). The brownies are also very tasty, I've had the ferrero one and it is the absolute best!
