Kebab Centre — Restaurant in Melbourne

I've been a loyal customer for years, and I've always been satisfied with my experiences. However, my last visit left me feeling disappointed and hungry. The reason for my disappointment was the shockingly low quantity of food served.

I ordered the chicken HSP which I've had many times before, and I was expecting a generous serving as usual. Unfortunately, when the dish arrived, it looked like they had forgotten to add the main course. The plate was almost empty, with only a few scraps of food scattered around. I was taken aback by the lack of quantity and couldn't believe that they were serving such a small portion.

As a paying customer, I expect to get value for my money. Paying over $18 for a meal that barely fills one-third of my plate is not acceptable. I felt like I was being ripped off, and it's not what I've come to expect from this restaurant.

I understand that menu items may change or be updated, but I don't think it's too much to ask for a decent serving size. I've seen other restaurants in the area offering more generous portions at similar prices, which is why I'm starting to question whether this restaurant is still worth my loyalty.

I hope that the management takes my feedback seriously and addresses this issue. I would love to continue supporting this restaurant, but until then, I'll have to consider taking my business elsewhere.

Suggested Improvement: Increase the quantity of food served to match the prices and expectations of customers.

I had the pleasure of trying the mixed grill HSP with chilli and garlic sauce at Kebab Centre, and it was an absolute treat! The variety in the mixed grill was fantastic, offering a perfect blend of flavours and textures. Each type of meat was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor.

The chilli sauce added a wonderful kick, just the right amount of heat to make things exciting without overpowering the dish. Paired with the creamy garlic sauce, it created a perfect balance of spicy and savory, elevating the entire experience. The chips underneath were crispy and held up well, soaking in all those delicious juices and sauces without getting soggy.

Portion-wise, it was generous, making it a great value for money. The presentation was top-notch as well, showing that they care about both the look and taste of their food. We ordered two dishes, which included rice, and he said the wait would be 15 to 20 minutes. After waiting for 45 minutes, some of his friends' customers came with six or so of the same food as ours, and all of a sudden, the owner came to us and said, "I just checked, we don't have rice!" He clearly wasn't honest about it because I didn't see him tell the others (his friends' customers) that he didn't have rice. He could have informed us when we ordered so we could decide whether to proceed or not. In the end, we received some chicken and lamb with one side burnt and the other side uncooked. Regarding hygiene, I should add that we witnessed him going to his car in front of the door, grabbing some tools and stuff, and then coming in and serving food with the same dirty gloves.
