Vorea Polaris — Restaurant in Melbourne

A regular to this place. Came for dinner on a Saturday night. Waitess seemed abrupt and didn't seem to want to be there. When she took our order, wanted to walk away without asking for drinks, we had to prompt her. The food was very good. Had to ask twice for water. At about 10pm, my partner overheard the staff saying to eachother, 'give them the bill, they will get the hint'. The bill was 'slapped' onto our table and other customer tables without a thank you or anything. The waitress hadn't even asked us if we wanted anymore to drink or even desserts before the kitchen closes. We simply paid and left there as we did want coffees and desserts but that wasn't going to happen as she clearly wanted to go home. Therefore we went for coffee and cake elsewhere. Having been in the hospitality industry for many years and being a regular to this cafe, it was very disappointing from a service point of view, plus the fact that they we could have spent more money by having dessert and coffee at the end. There was one waitress who was more polite and we wished she served us instead. We won't be coming again if that's the attitude of some of your staff. It is a mortal sin in this competitive industry to not look after your customers. We chose to come from quite a distance to eat here but will go...

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Vorea Polaris this morning, and I must say, it exceeded our expectations in every way! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The food was delivered incredibly fast, and the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. The portions were generous, and the coffee was absolutely delicious.

I opted for the smashed avocado with beetroot dukkah and eggs, and every bite was a delight. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the dish was simply scrumptious. My husband tried the salmon on toast with poached eggs, and he couldn't stop raving about how fresh and tasty it was. We were both very impressed with the presentation of all the plates - they looked as good as they tasted!

One thing that caught our eye was the display at the entrance showcasing various cakes and other food items available for takeaway. It's a nice touch for those looking for a treat to enjoy later.

Overall, our experience at Vorea Polaris was fantastic, and we will definitely be back for more. If you're in Bundoora and looking for a cafe that delivers on both quality and flavor, this is the place to be. Highly recommended for a satisfying and enjoyable...

Possibly the worst service I've ever received. I met a friend there for lunch. My experience began with being greeted by 2 young women at the entrance, one of whom was saying loudly how desperate she needed to go to the toilet. Charming. The other one said hello and the busting one said, with a dismissive wave of the hand, 'Sit anywhere you like'. So I found a table. And waited. For Godot, it seemed. So I eventually stood up and went in search of a menu, and was finally handed one by a man from the kitchen. I sat back down and soon had to flag down the waitress of full-bladder notoriety. She looked at me with disdain: How dare I ask her a question! In response to my question, 'Is it table service, or should we order at the counter?', she said - with daggers in her eyes - 'Either'. My companion and I both order the same thing. The same waitress soon brought me my dish and said, 'Oops, I only put one through. I'll get the other one now'. It was the SAME ORDER.
