Let me just say, I am astounded—no, flabbergasted by the utter lack of basic customer service at this establishment. I ordered a Halal Snack Pack (HSP), which, based on the price, I had hoped would be a gastronomic triumph. But alas, it was not meant to be.
First, the pricing was unbelievable. For what was essentially a pile of underwhelming meat and fries, the cost was astronomical. Are you operating on a business model that assumes your customers are unaware of basic pricing strategies? You certainly need to re-evaluate. There is no logical explanation for charging such a high price for something that tastes... meh. The meat was acceptable at best, and the fries—atrocious. They were so poorly cooked I half expected to see a "Hazardous Material" sign next to them.
To top it off, I requested a glass of water. And do you know what happened? I was refused tap water because, and I quote, "we don’t usually give those to customers." What?! You’re charging me an arm and a leg for subpar food, and now you won’t even let me drink water unless I buy a bottle at your extortionist prices? How about filling a bottle with tap water and offering that to your customers for free? It’s not a difficult concept!
And then there were the sauces... Let me put it plainly: they were awful. No flavor, no substance and that was just a sad excuse for what should have been a delightful addition to the meal.
In summary, this place should be embarrassed. My advice? Save your money, and your taste buds, for somewhere else. Do yourself a favor and avoid this overpriced, flavorless disaster of...
Read moreI am a tourist here in Melbourne and decided to grab kebab for dinner. Never has it happened to me before that the staff of a restaurant has treated me like some kind of person with some kind of problem, raised their voices at one of their clients and laughed at my request to replace what they mistakingly gave me which wasn't what I ordered.
I asked for a "beef kebab in a box" and received a wrap instead. Seeing that I received a wrap I asked them if I could kindly exchange the wrap for some kebab in a box because I couldn't eat gluten. They said I had to pay an order again...
Another client had to kindly accept to take my order because I couldn't eat gluten and pay for a whole other order for my box. Are you really expecting for someone to spend $40 worth of orders for one single person in a kebab store?
I definitely don't recommend going here to be put at fault, accused to not read their menu properly, not have said box in my order (which other people around clearly heard and commented about), be laughed at by the staff for accusing me of having a language barrier!?, all this after I paid a $20 kebab wrap.
For the rest it's just plain, normal kebab you can get anywhere else.

Read moreWe discovered this gem of a place after the nearest kebab joint to our office had changed owners and gone terribly bad. It was a godsend because I was truly amazed when I took my first bite of a kebab from Kebab Society. I couldn't believe that we never tried this place before. The doner style bread that these guys use is the best. It's so soft and moist and satisfying. The meat they use is Tekfoods so you're guaranteed to enjoy it. Usually I get lamb only because chicken is always a hit or miss in most other places. But the last time we went here I tried a mixed kebab and boy was I blown away. The meat was so full of flavour from the herbs and spices that they've used on the chicken, and the garlic sauce was possibly the best I've had, which easily made this possibily the best tasting kebab I've ever had, or at least compared to what's in the city. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a traditional and authentic Turkish tasting kebab, because I really felt like I was taken on a culinary journey to Turkey. I personally rated it a 12 out of 10. Well done Kebab Society. Keep up...
