Very bad. Terrible value for the price and huge wait times when it wasn't even busy. The menu pictures of the food are completely wrong and are effectively false advertising. You see a picture on the menu and order it and you get something far worse than what is portrayed.
Very very bad. They have changed their menu/portion size and it's now horrible. I went here some years ago and it WAS great. We got one of the large share platters. I recently went there again and was thoroughly disappointed. So much so I am writing this review. The platter I got was $54 due to the $49 normal price plus a 10% surcharge for weekends. The first issue before even getting to the food was the time. It was 7pm on a Saturday and there was only 6 others customers (a group of 2 and a group of 4). I was in a group of only 3 people. We ordered the platter and it took over HALF AN HOUR to come out. And when it finally did some out I was thoroughly dissapointed to see what I received was completely different from what I got last time and from what the the menu showed. The amount of chicken has significantly decreased. Previusly this one platter had fed 3 people. It had a mountain of chicken in the centre. This time the mountain was replaced by a measly mound AND a third of the space was taken up with french fries, which has previously not been included at all and ARE NOT shown on the menu. In addition the menu shows the platter having roast corn on the cob and this was replaced by a low quality corn "sludge" that tasted almost sour.
After seeing this platter had changed completely from last time I dined and also being different from the menu pictures I asked the wait staff. I said "sorry but why is there chips when on the menu there is none?" She was instantly very defensive and rude and said there is always chips and then asked me if I would like no chips. I said yes no chips if that means more chicken please. To this she seemed quite annoyed and proceeded to tell me that the amount of chicken is the same and is weighed so it can never change per customer. Although this may be true since last time I have dined they must have changed their portion weights. They are now significantly smaller and very bad value. The chicken used to fill up the whole centre part of the platter in a large pile whereas now it was an almost flat mound AND a third of the space is taken up by chips. I told the wait staff thankyou but last time there was no chips and significantly more chicken. She looked at me annoyed, shook her head, and walked away.
This is the first time in my life I have felt genuinely ripped off by a restaurant and even considered dining and dashing.
I suspect so many of their good reviews are from old customers on the old menu. Or they also farm 5 star reviews by offering a free drink if you leave a 5 star review.
Overall this was terrible value for the price. There was not even enough to feed 2 people let alone 3. The menu pictures of the food is completely wrong and is effectively false advertising.

Read moreWe ordered a 12 pieces wing. There was a hair in our fried chicken wings. We asked the staff about the issue, the chef came out and said to us: “This is not our hair, so we cant do anything with this.” We was so shocked then asked them: “ What do u mean? Are u saying this is our hair?”. The chef said no, she didn’t mean it. But she confirmed again its not THEIR HAIR. It’s ridiculous.
They made the new 6 pieces (its the haft serve of what we ordered) for us but we already upset and lose our great time tgt. Still paid in full plus no apologies from the restaurant. This is the first time I write a Google review. Never had this experience before. Still in shock
Btw the chef took the hair on the tissue before Im about to take a photo. Terrible experience!! Bad hospitality!!!
Respondse to the owner’s comment because seems like you still haven’t realised the actual issue: We asked for a refund when the issue happened (but u refused to do so) before you offer a another 1/2 size of what we ordered. U took the our dish away and brought another 1/2 dish. So why cant we finish what we paid for? ITS OUR MONEY!! There was no apologies from the the restaurant after what happened and again, not even now on the internet. There will be issues happen when u open a business, but its not gonna be a big beal if u understand and know how to solve it professionally. Your food is not that good (taste/ price range/ portion) when compares to what others offers around. Plus terrible service so u deserve to have bad reviews. It doesn't matter who's hair, if the hair in your chicken at your restaurant, it's your responsibility to take the action. This seems like you claim that you don't check/ wash your chicken before you cook and bring to the table!!
PS: U should upgrade your services quality and improve your problem-solving skill before decide to battle with your customers on the internet. It only shows your lack of management skill and brings bad reputation for your business. Anyways its your business your choice.

I paid 102aud just for an employee to come up to my table while I’m speaking to my friend and rudely interrupt me and tell me that I am not allowed to bring in drinks from outside the store (I was carrying a monster energy drink and mind you their store does not carry energy drinks). I put the energy drink away even though I was disappointed after paying such large sum just to get spoken rudely to over only a drink which till this day not a single restaurant had an issue with other than this one, then they without telling me did not serve me what I paid for and apparently refunded me (apparently because I still haven’t gotten it back).

I see that I have gotten a reply, that reply states that I put my drink into the fridge, yes that is true, nothing wrong there. However, if the footage was actually reviewed properly you’d see that I later asked for a glass of ice and removed my drink from the fridge. Moreover, the issue was not about hygiene or the fact that my drink was in the fridge, that whole thing is made up, the employee that rudely spoke to me did not even mention anything about me putting the drink into the fridge, the only thing she mentioned was that drinks from outside are not allowed. The tone the employee spoke to me in was not polite whatsoever, if anything the employee sounded threatening.
I am trying food from different restaurants around Melbourne as a way of recommending to others and supporting small businesses, and just so you know most of the time the places I visit and record my experience in are great, it is rare that I have a bad experience.
