KFC Highett — Restaurant in Melbourne

These dudes clearly take no pride in their jobs. I stop here once a month on my way home to buy a treat meal. On average 50% of the time they get the order wrong. Today I waited in the drive through behind one car that was at the speaker for 5 min before they were served. I ordered a zinger crunch burger combo that cost $15. My order contained a deconstructed wrap, full of crushed up corn chips, and dehydrated coleslaw, with 2 tenders in it and no mayo. Aside from not being what I ordered, it was drier than the Simpson desert. The chips were oversalted within an inch of their existence, I’d put money on them outlasting the apocalypse - couldn’t eat them either. Sadly I was km’s away by the time I discovered this atrocity of a meal. I love spending $15 on a can of Pepsi. Driving past the window, I could see 4 or 5 staff members in the back, standing around having a chat not including the 2 at the payment window and 2 at the collection window. Today’s pathetic mess almost outdid the time they gave me a family feast with no burgers or chicken in it…. Hopeless. Seriously, Highett get it together, your weekday lunch service...

Where do I even begin with the chicken at KFC?! It's a complete and utter disaster.

You see, the thing about this is it's as if pieces of meat have been glued together to form this Frankenstein-like abomination of a bird. One bite into this and you'll understand what I mean. The texture is all wrong, it's rubbery and has a distinct lack of "give" to it, like biting into a rubber band. And that, is simply unacceptable.

What we expect from a succulent piece of fried chicken is a juicy, tender meat that just falls apart in your mouth. But at KFC, the chicken is so far from that ideal, it's almost comical. I must say, I'm deeply disappointed by this. Fried chicken is a classic dish and should be treated with the reverence it deserves, but at KFC, it seems like they've just given up on even trying to make a decent version of it.

I have just ordered online. What a shambles. I received popcorn chicken instead of nuggets to which my girlfriend does not eat without even letting us know or explaining the situation before the meal arrived. I have also received no salt on my chips when I requested extra, o ordered a boxed meal which we all know comes with a potato and gravy or choice. I've been ripped off and did not receive any gravy or replacement of any kind. This is disgusting, I wish this order was made in person so I wouldn't have to write this review as I prefer to do business in person but they will not even answer the phone. This is disgraceful, id fire the manager or have what's word with him if he were running my company while I was not present. Good luck with your future endeavours, came to realise I'll have to order a little further out to avoid this atrocious service. The worst part I was probably charged an extra service fee to be ripped off.
