KFC Nunawading — Restaurant in Melbourne

I often drive through this store for a late dinner on the way to a night shift. Food is always fresh and tasty ( better than my local Eltham store). On the 26/4 approx 9pm l was asked in drive through, to park as chips would be ready in one minute. I continued to wait at window as no cars were behind me. 2nd staff member asked me to park, l informed l would move if another car came, as l was on my way to work (indicating l am in a hurry thus why l am in the drive through and not parked). When moving away this staff started to say something about 'our timer'. Food delivered by 3rd staff member in less than the informed one minute wait ( still no cars behind me), she informed me 'please kindly move to parking area next time when staff request you do so'. I thanked for the food, shook my head and left. A drive through is for convenience, that is why they are a drive through not a park and wait. I am not responsible for KFC installing a timer to monitor staff response to delivery in the drive through. I was not holding up service in drive through, rather ensuring prompt delivery of my goods already paid for. Do staff get bonuses for quick delivery times in drive though? How true are the timer statistics when customers are moved to park just to satisfy a quick delivery of food, when that is untrue, the customer is mearly in a parking space still awaiting food. Please don't reply with your cut and paste 'finger licking good' response or 'Hit us up directly' online, I don't agree to have my private details shared with KFC partners, including overseas. That it seems is another perfect way to ensure a reduced numbers of complaints...

I went there for a late dinner, drove in the Drive through section, went to order a large meal, nd the girl on the speaker said, NO Burgers nd fries, nd chicken pieces.. I was Stunned 😲 😯... I then asked what could they give me... She said, Pop corn chicken nd Nuggets, Drinks nd desert.. To then I replied, ... What deal could you do me with that.. didn't have much of an idea... Nd repeated pretty much what I said, they just had left over... I thought about it for a while, what I could still have... I asked for so many nuggets nd a whole GO bucket full of Pop corn chicken nd about 6 Nuggets, a 600ml drink nd a Dbl chocolate moose. I got to the pay window, the girl was there, plus the young Night manager guy too, I went to pay, nd the Night manager guy said, it's on the house... I said, ru sure, to his telpy was, Yes, it's on the house.. I said, ok, thanks. Nd drove off. I was really hungry that night, nd drove to Maccas across the road, nd ordered a large double Mc chicken meal, with a chocolate Thick shake. NO FREEBIES THERE.. LOL 😆 😆 That was going with the KFC, I had just bought, cos I was missing the Chicken burger nd fries/chips.. Good customer service by both, KFC nd Maccas, Nunawading. VERY weird experience at the Nunawading KFC on Friday night 26th.

The young woman who was the manager was very helpful to me however the 2 young guys working for her were really really strange and I could sense her frustration in her staff.

First of all when I asked to order one guy had no idea what to do and asked for manager. Whilst being served be was consistently corrected by the manager over very basic stuff he shouldn't be getting wrong aka giving wrong drinks sizes and putting wrong food in orders.

Him and the other guy had no idea what to do about a massive spilt drink near the bins and was asking manager what ro do and when told to mop it they didn't know how to use it and ended up flooded the floors with water and 2 massive big plastic bags full of rubbish - not sure why you wouldn't put them away in garage bins outside rather then let them just sit on floor getting wet and stinky but that's beyond me.

At one point I heard the 2 guys discussing together to try remember the manager's name which was very concerning. Seems like the staff aside from management have no initiative and want to be told what to do second by second.

The tables were also very dirty with old cans and wrappers sitting on them.

food was good though but I'll prob go and sit in my car...
