I visited this place on the 14 of May 2023.
I give them 7 out of 10
This is one of my favourite Korean BBq restaurants in Melbourne.
The Beef (8/10): For me, the best here is the beef. They have good quality beef cuts. My very top one is the Wagyu Brisket. It is very thing, unfortunately, but I guess they do that in that way because would be too expensive to cut in thick steaks. However, it is heaven. Could look not too yummy after cooking. But the taste is the best of all. Once again, in my opinion. They have other cuts, good as well.
Other meets (6/10): They provide some seafood and my wife loves it. But, sorry I can't tell you much about it, because I always attack the beef like crazy.
The Kimchi (9/10): Once again, in my opinion. This Kimchi is one of the best I had in a Korean restaurant. They have a good balance between acid and hot. Very, very yummy.
Variety (5/10): They have a good amount of different options, and the kimchi pancake is delicious. However, could provide a little more for the little ones. Before they had some pizza and chicken drums. On my last visit, only chicken wings were available. As well they offer some fruit (oranges, watermelon and melon) pretty standard. As well, ice cream is not the best one, but the kids love it (it is sugar, they always love it).
Things to improve: They could offer a better option for desserts, basically only fruit or ice cream. But not options for adults. Maybe could include some nice ice cream flavours for adults, like matcha or pistachio. As well, when the doors open the people move like crazy. This restaurant operates under the all-you-can-eat option and has 2 hours to eat. Many people run like crazy and form long queues for the sides and meats. Not sure how they could improve this, but it is annoying. Lastly, the service. The guys working there do their best to keep the place clean, I appreciated that. However, it is a little stress eat and has people running like crazy moving from one place to another. Make you feel not nice. It could be better if that restaurant were a little big and with a better distribution of tables to avoid the people bothering each other walking and moving around.
My verdict is (7/10). I will return hundreds of times. If they keep the quality and the price.
Well done guys. One of my first options to go when I want to have...
Read moreI enjoyed the food there but unfortunately, I have to give 2 stars due to the work safety, hygiene and service is not to a certain standard. I was there last night for pre lockdown dinner with my family. the floor was full of grease and I nearly slipped few times (the floor was already greasy before everyone went inside). as I was waiting to be let in, half of the staff were standing around not doing anything for 15 minutes or so (which they could do some mopping) and one of them (young guy) was eating a watermelon straight from the buffet. not very hygienic especially that we are still going through pandemic. he even ignored me and few others who were asking for his service. a couple of other staff didn't know much about some of the food there when I asked them about it (what sauce is this in the bottle? does this salad have dressing? etc). there were signs everywhere that the customers must wear mask and gloves which I love but half of the customers were not following the rules and I watched the staff just stared and didn't say anything. the lady who was at the register she looked so stressed, I felt sorry for her. the staff there needs proper training. I dont think I can go there again and if I do......it'll be many many many months later and I hope the staff there will be organise, proper and well trained by then so the lady at the register can be calm....I think she is a...
Read moreTasty meats from a fridge full of plain meat and a fridge full of flavoured meats. Unfortunately only seafood is prawns but not a loss.
Big selection of salads/veg (lettuce, onion, muchrooms, potato), sides such as kimchi, pickled onions, saute sprouts, shredded green onion etc) and fresh fruit orange slices and Watermelon.
They have fried food such as croquettes, crab claws, fried chicken, kimchi and seafood pancake/jeon. Odeng (fish cake on stick) with soup, bulgogi, japchae, Tteokbokki, some other dishes and white rice.
Deserts were 3 options of soft serve, zooperdoopers or korean watermelon ice bar.
The staff were prompt in changing the bbq plates when they started to burn from meat residue and clearing unused plates.
The price used to be in the $30s but has gone up to $44.5 for adults. It's a bit expensive we don't go as often as we used to but is well worth it considering going out to dinner anywhere ordering a entrees and main meal is close to the price and this is all you can eat buffet. They say they will charge for left overs under a certain limit but everytime we have gone they have been generous when we have left a bowl or two. With some rice or a little meat. Just take what you can eat nd try not to eat with your eyes.
Recommend booking. I've used their online booking and never had trouble....
