When fast food is no longer fast you have a severe problem with either staff training or procedural inefficiency.
I walked on the dot at half past 7 and there was only 1 person ahead of me ordering at the service desk, this made no difference to me as I ordered via the machines before they had even started to order. Effectively putting me first in the queue amongst the two of us who had ordered.
There was worryingly though 3-4 uber drivers who were waiting for orders. So I thought there might be a slightly longer delay in getting my food.
The store was staffed by at least 6 girls and 2 guys who were indifferent to the rapidly filling queue and within minutes of my arrival I counted 11 people ( including uber drivers) waiting for orders or to order. One poor lady who was lining up to order and was first in the queue waited at least 5-10 minutes to be asked if she wanted anything. There seemed to be no managers to take charge of a young and slow crew.
In the time first 15mins instore I only saw 2 orders being picked up by an uber driver, with one of the pickups being a uber driver who had just arrived. Very puzzling why he got his order infront of all the other drivers waiting.
Finally after 18mins I got my zinger burger, now if the store was busy and overrun with customers I wouldn't say anything but being that there were 8 staff to 11 customer and with my position in the ordering queue (1st or 2nd), the tardiness was inexcusable.
I have worked in restaurants and customer service roles before, as both general staff and a managerial role. So I recognise really poor customer service and no urgency in the work.
The young crew seemed more interested in chatting and interacting with each other than actually serving out the food, only when the store filled up and they eventually realised they were taking too long did they pick up the pace and I finally got my order. However nearly all the uber drivers who had arrived before myself we still there when I left
I'm pretty sure the owners or management will never see my review, but in the slight chance they do. Please get better managers because if you are taking 18 minutes to bring out a burger then there is a serious problem in your training...
Read moreThis is my regular KFC that I will frequently stop into. In the months and months that I have been going to this KFC I have only ever recieved one bad meal - of which the staff were more than happy to amend my order.
The food is always steaming hot! As it should be, there is no need to request it is hot, the chicken is nice and crispy but so tender on the inside!
Staff are always really friendly, I find that despite the fast paced environment I will still recieve a "hey there how are you". The only thing I would suggest is when speaking to customers in drive through, just slow down the pace on the microphone a little bit, at times I have been cut off with the "yep anything else". Other than that phenomenal service, speedy, accurate and even better staff aren't afraid to own their mistakes and immediately fix them... thats incredible!
Atmosphere is not the best, but far from the worst. It's your typical fast food interior, there is bits of food and rubbish lying around - however I have witnessed staff actively cleaning the area up, so not the worst out there. Drive through is kept clean and maintained often!
My go to snack is a: supercharged stacked snack, with a supercharged sauce on the side, and a Pepsi freeze. Even my Pepsi freeze is filled right up to the brim - something I rarely see at any other take out places! It's the small things that add up!!!
If you want a quick snack and go by KFC Sunshine, reccomend stopping in!!! I'll probably be back there...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at KFC Sunshine on October 27, 2024. Before visiting, I checked Google Maps to confirm that the closing time was listed as 12 AM. My friends, family, and I arrived and placed our order at 9:42 PM, well within the operating hours. However, despite our early arrival, our food was delivered quite late.
While waiting, a KFC employee began removing chairs from our table. When we inquired why, they informed us that the restaurant only offers takeaway service after 10 PM. This policy was not mentioned online anywhere. Shortly after, we received our food. I moved a chair back to our table to sit with my family, only to be yelled at by the employee from the counter, reiterating the takeaway policy. We pointed out it wasn't even 10 PM yet, and the delay was their fault, but the staff was unrelenting.
The experience only worsened as we discovered that our order was incorrect. Despite specifically asking for no mayonnaise due to an allergy, one of our members found mayonnaise in their burger. Additionally, the food was cold. The staff's lack of professionalism and attention to detail not only ruined our meal but also put our friend's health at risk. This incident significantly dampened our evening, especially since we had just enjoyed the Diwali festival.
