Been to Tak Hing's ever since they moved into the little strip. Busy and always has a line. Love the bun baos here they're tasty, soft and fluffy. Make note: Cash Only! They produce bun baos commercially but also welcomes the general public who can purchase on site hot or cold. Frozen baos used to be sold loosley so you can get as many as you want, but these days the popular ones can only be bought packaged like the ones you find at the grocers Baos are flavoursome however, over the decades of support to the business the bao-to-filling ratio has changed. A lot more dough than filling which can be sickening.

Pork bun used to be good. The last time I bought it was 2 years ago when I used to live in Victoria. Went back last week and bought a few, found the skin is super thick and hardly any filling. Skin was dry. So disappointed. The price has increased since then but the quality is drop. I rather have smaller and nicer bun. The BBQ pork bun is OK. I have to cross this shop off my list now.

8/10 custard baos Really love the baos here! For years they have been reasonably priced and the quality is super soft. Looks like covid has caught up and their prices have increased. I still think the $1.8 baos are still a bargain especially the custard ones. Other places will easily sell them for $3

The main pork bun bao used to be good but is awful now. Filling and flour bun is not in proportion, looks nice and big but takes so many to bites before you get a meat/sausage/mushroom/egg filling. The second half of the bun is just dry and meaty that is overly seasoned with pepper, there's no flavour to it anymore.

BBQ pork and custard is still very...
