Living in the area and thought we would check it out for a Sunday lunch. The place was so full. Parking at the back and on the streets were all taken. We had to park across the road. We ordered CKT, Chicken Laksa and Dry Spicy Pan Mee. The food was delicious and the serving portion was generous. However, they were not as authentic as other places. The chicken laksa broth was too thick and had too much coconut milk in it. It also could be spicier. The CKT was a tad too salty and the hor fun was too wide. It looked more like fried beef hor fun type noodles. The spicy pan mee was the most authentic but it was a tad too oily and spicy. We might check out their main course dishes next time.

Went there on the night there is two empty tables next to the window which my daughter wants to sit next to the window(there are only two group of customers in the restaurant), but the waitress said it all reserved( which is all empty during my stay in the restaurant about 40mins) ordered “famous” fish head noodle soup, it was shocked, it’s so greasy, it looks like they put some boiling oil on top of it before they bring out, I even want to vomit after having that, strongly not recommended this place

Very welcoming staff. Quite busy at lunch but we got a table in the outdoor area. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. The prawn soup noodles is really good and authentic. I will definitely return and recommend Malaysian Kitchen to people who would like to try or have Malay food. Yum!!! Try their homemade lemon tea too!

We went to try the fish head dry noodle last night. We pointed to it on the menu as well as said it. But the fish head curry arrived instead. Apparently the waitress had repeated our order back to us saying fish head curry and none of us disputed it. She said nothing could be done. Another staff member came to say she made the same mistake earlier that day and offered to ask if we could get the right dish....so we popped the curry aside and started the eat the rest of our dishes. 15mins passed and no one came back. I went to look for the 2nd staff - she advised she had checked and they can't swap it as the mistake was ours. I told her she should have come to tell us cos this dish was sitting there getting cold! Firstly, when we ordered we mention my mother in law does not eat spicy foods, that should have tweaked. Secondly, I confess on thinking back the original waitress did repeat the wrong dish but it was very noisy and difficult to hear - however it's really a mistake on both parties. If someone had come to apologise, explain that they can't swap the dish but "seeing your mum in law can't eat curry, let us pack it as a takeaway for you and we can now add the dry fish head noodle dish to your order" That would have left a better taste in our mouths than the service we got. Disappointed on how it was handled. The rest of the dishes were tasty but too salty overall. The fish head curry was yummy but...

This is our favourite place to eat in Doncaster. But today we went for lunch. We were waiting for someone to take us to the table. One girl came, picked up the Menu, don’t even look at us, walked away and say nothing. So we assumed that we have to follow her. She put the menu down and walked off. Got to the table and ordered food. Later I asked one of the staff about the other girl’s name. But looks like she couldn’t quite get what I asked for so I just let it go. Then 5 minutes later, the girl who took us to table came and says “ what’s wrong? So I asked what’s her name. But she didn’t answer and kept saying “what’s wrong? About 3-4 times and said “If you are not happy, do you want takeaway??” Like that and she kept repeating while we were trying to eat. She told me her name, but I couldn’t quite catch it. We had food in front of us Then I said on a very low voice as I needed her to leave the table “we just want to eat” Then she walked away. This is our first time experiencing this. Me and my family have been very happy with the food here. We love taking our friends here. We were being nice and polite to every staff. Everyone always being nice but that girl. I didn’t expect her to be super friendly but at least just be polite. I have been waiting to come back at this place for a month after the overseas trip. But this is what happened. I just wanted to give the manager a feedback of your...

Hainanese Chicken Rice was not bad, except it had way too many bones in the chicken, even small chipped bones! Ruined my lunch experience. This dish is famous for using boneless chicken, except I feel that they gave us all the boney pieces instead, to make it look like a large portion. Very deceiving. I filled up my empty soup bowl with all the bones!! My mother was scared of swallowing chipped bones and choking. Very disappointing!! 😒 I've had better Hainanese Chicken Rice elsewhere. Also the rice portion was smaller than expected. The soup was not served hot, more like luke warm. They gave very little chili sauce and even forgot to give the "standard" ginger sauce!! And where was the cucumber??!! Not very authentic at all. I have eaten this dish in 4 different countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Australia) and this preparation by Kitchen Malaysian is by far the most inferior and not worth the money spent. Service is not as good as other restaurants I've been to. If we go again (which I highly doubt after this review), I will order the nasi lemak instead, or maybe request "no bones" in the hainanese chicken rice... or maybe just go somewhere else.... Junior Tan Hawker Kitchen in Bayswater has 100x better service, quality food and generous portions!! Even Laksa Village is better than Kitchen...
