La La Land CBD — Restaurant in Melbourne

I've been there before and didn't have any issues. Based on previous reviews, it's possible that I just had the misfortune of being served by that particular barman with a mustache. The bar was quiet (midday) and it was early (before 6pm). The barman did not even say hi back when I went up (and said hi first) and ordered my drink. He gave the attitude that I was bothering him by ordering a drink. He then managed to completely stuff up a negroni (one of the most basic cocktails). As he was about to serve it to me, he finally realised that the colour was not right. I ordered a 2nd drink later one - I specifically asked for a dry martini. Again, I got a martini with far too much vermouth. The final straw was when I asked for some water (after our group had spent over $100 in drinks). He poured some water in a carafe and as I was about to bring the carafe to our table (5 people), he proceeded to tell me that the carafe was for the whole bar! and that I should pour water in individual glasses for the group. Wow! what kind of bar only has 1 carafe of water for their entire establishment! There are plenty of bars with great service and fantastic drinks in the CBD. Avoid this one unless you are happy with a below average...

I have been to this place before with friends, and the service was fine back then. However, today I walked past the shop on Little Lonsdale Street, planning to visit again. Unfortunately, I witnessed a very unpleasant incident that completely changed my mind.

Someone from the second floor threw something out of the window, which hit my partner on the head. To make it worse, we heard laughter from the people responsible. This behavior was unacceptable and very disturbing. While it may have been caused by a group of unruly or intoxicated customers, I believe the establishment has a responsibility to ensure that such actions do not occur on their premises.

Management should take control of their space and intervene if customers in specific areas are causing trouble. Allowing such behavior not only puts others at risk but also discourages potential visitors like myself from returning. Please address this issue to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment...

Went here last night for the first time. Booked due to COVID on line and booked the couch areas. Had a strict booking time of 90 minutes. Place looks great ! The lounge couches took awesome and looks like a great place to chill. However was quickly disappointed when we went in and were ushered to the outside undercover area despite our booking. When we we questioned this , the bar tender said that is all they had and would not discuss the fact that we had made a booking for the lounge areas. Bar tenders we also unfriendly and disinterested. Once the lounge areas became available, we asked if we could move to them , only to be told that they were booked out still. That area we asked for remained vacant until we left. Would have spent more money at this establishment if we were treated well and respectfully. We turned it into more of a catch up with friends, one or two drinks and moved on. Poor Service and...
