Hey guys I was about to recommend your pizzas to my awesome aunty who orders in Beaumaris from another suburb when I saw a review from a recent disgruntled customer.
First up, we own a business in retail and these sort of reviews should not be allowed especially when the reviewer has completely no idea of the reason they are there and what to expect ie authenticity!!! This can and does really affect a business. For businesses that strive hard and go over the top for quality and customer service, negative and uninformed reviews such as the following which I will mention in due course are not deserved at all. This is a newly opened restaurant that has spent enormous amounts of money to open their doors to serve you, spent money on restorations advertising, staff and committed to a long term lease.
Part of the review
“Good service, but if ‘authentic Italian pizza’ means overpriced, under topped, undercooked, soggy in the middle, doughy texture and with little taste, then this place has nailed it! Personally, I prefer pizzas opposite to the above, as served by the pizza shop opposite.”
To the disgruntled review “S D” (maybe give us your real name unless it is a competitor) It is obvious you are not the audience they are looking for, but attempting to destroy a business that is catering for a different clientele, it is downright pathetic and weak putting forward in public this review. Stop being a keyboard warrior and open your own business with your own money behind it and see what it is like!!! At the moment times are tough, to be honest you are lucky enough to even be able to order food, buy most products from small business as most don’t make money or are losing.
I suggest you go to dominoes !!
For my part my review is this, we ordered a few weeks ago and part of this reviewed review is true, however it was also at the same time not true. We have been to Italy and experienced authentic Italian pizzas and have also experienced fantastic Australian styled pizzas.
This reviewer stated price, toppings, base, etc. We ordered the prosciutto pizza which I always love, probably the most minimalist but expensive toppings, was it expensive?? Compared to competitors, probably yes or maybe comparison, however, as far as authentic goes YES it is!!! Furthermore was it good?? No, great if not the best I ever! The sauce, the base, the prosciutto.. it was so juicy I don’t think I have had another better!!
I never write reviews, some people shouldn’t… that person shouldn’t. Anyway this is mine, thanks guys for the best pizza I have had possibly ever and will eat in one night. (Ours was takeout). If you like authentic pizza, try it and other items on the menu which we have not had, if you don’t like it the give me a...
Read moreLet me be blunt: this is the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. And I’ve eaten a lot of pizza—doughy mistakes, soulless imitations, even so-called “authentic” renditions. But this? This is transcendent. The kind of pizza that makes you question every mediocre choice you’ve ever made in life.
The crust is blistered to perfection, whispering of a wood-fired romance between flame and dough. It’s crisp yet forgiving, a charred symphony beneath the vibrant melody of crushed tomatoes and creamy mozzarella. Oh, and those prawns? Juicy, sweet, and kissed by the sea, they crown the pizza with an elegance most kitchens could only dream of.
But it doesn’t stop there. Because life, my friends, is incomplete without dessert. The cannoli here is an experience unto itself—rich, velvety ricotta filling cradled in a crisp, delicate shell, dusted with just enough powdered sugar to make you feel like you’ve sinned… beautifully. I should’ve ordered another. I’ll never make that rookie mistake again.
The beating heart of this place is Rosemary and her team, who bring not just skill but soul to the table. They don’t just feed you—they remind you why we break bread in the first place.
So, put down your phone. Seriously. Go. Drive there now. Because meals like this aren’t just food—they’re memories...
Read moreMy experience dining in this restaurant was very average. Not gluten free friendly with very little on the menu. The pizzas were very average and overpriced (nothing to boast about). The young boy who was cutting the pizzas did not cut the slices very well and needs further training. The toppings would fall off the pizza. You could not eat the pizza with a knife and fork as it was very difficult to cut. Then you would use your hands to eat and the toppings would fall off. Antonio (the pizza man) who does the pizzas had an attitude when we ordered a "Capricciosa" for our mother who suffers from dementia and it is her favourite. It is a traditional pizza since we have been living in Australia but for Antonio IT WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE to order a Capricciosa as it wasn't in the menu. Apart from that I felt we were constantly being watched and didn't feel relaxed as we were eating. Not a nice restaurant atmosphere. Service with the Venezuelan waiter was excellent. Will...
