I have never eaten nor ordered from this place, but wanted to support businesses during the pandemic and I was craving a parma so I decided to give this restaurant a go. I ordered a chicken parma which came with a side of chips and paid the additional $4.50 for a side salad, which was disappointingly forgotten. The parma, although I appreciated the generous portion size considering it’s not exactly cheap, was too thick on some parts and unfortunately slightly burnt around some edges. I did order a side of gravy and received a generous portion too but was disappointed I did not get the side salad. When I rang to advise the salad was forgotten, he did offer to send another driver but there was no point. I asked to be refunded and he offered to give me a credit off a future order to which I declined, then offered to reimburse me but requested I text him my bsb and account details for bank transfer. He did offer to to reimburse me twice the amount I paid extra, which is nice of him, but I did not feel comfortable with this refund method considering I paid via PayPal. It’s not worth chasing but the food I ordered was mediocre and due to this experience, I don’t think I would order here again. Especially when I was advised delivery would be contactless however the girl, although polite, knocked at the door with my food in hand and handed it to me so wasn’t exactly...

We decided to come here for my birthday dinner, thinking they would honour the ā€œunlimitedā€ pizza and pasta deal for $25. Little to our knowledge it’s only for a group of 20 or more yet that is not stated anywhere online or in store. Bad start.

On arrival we had booked a table and the sever could not find our booking, made us choose our table which was fine I guess. We waited up to 10 minutes to be served once we sat down, ordered, not given any water had to ask.

It took over 45 minutes for our order for 3 people to arrive. I checked with one of the severs and apprently the order was ā€œlost in systemā€ thanks to wifi, yet the order was taken by hand. Pretty lame excuse. Was at least offered half price.

After ordering again and food arriving in 10 minutes at that time we were satisfied. That was until 1 of our pastas had a hair in it! Absolutely disgusting. And to top tnay off one of the Pizzas the Aussie, had raw egg, which actually gave me food poisoning later that night. Still not fully over it when adding this review.

Overall, not very impressed. Staff seemed to complain about dping everything, didn’t really care much, couldn’t explain or blink an eye at the issues on the night, bad service, wouldn’t come back I think there is much better places to go for Italian...

I used to come here regularly back when my parents and siblings were able to, so this is the first time I dined in for a long time.

Unfortunately for disabled people, the main area is still upstairs so I am unsure about access. There is a ground level area inside but it looked unused.

There are actually only two pasta dishes I truly love, and they are the Alla Matriciana, and the carbonara. I usually only ever stick with entree serves, but even with this size, I struggle to fit it all in, especially if I get a lime bitters and a garlic bread.

For noodles, I always seem to order the gnocchi. Gnocchi is not something we do (think: almost never) so I take the opportunity to get it - the few times I go out anyway. And I never regret it.

I usually enjoy the place but it depends who else is eating there as well. Parents and kids are still the worst. No joke, this time there was some kid rearranging the chairs. Sometimes I think covid needed to be deadlier.

Great staff, lovely decor, but more importantly awesome food. Price is reasonable too. I'll be back... one day. Just prepare for the worst if you dine in, they get all sorts of...

Monday night takeaway dinner… simple you would think? Well it wasn’t that easy. Unfortunately the ā€˜home of pasta’ can’t mix two pastas together. Whether it’s a lack of interest by staff, or a technique to get you to buy more - it wasn’t a great start. The restaurant was quiet, I thought it would only be a short wait. I asked for my cheesy garlic bread to come over as soon as it was ready. So far, so good. Unfortunately it was a 40 minute wait for some basic pasta dishes - with nobody else in the restaurant and only one take away order picked up during that time. I find it hard to believe that it takes 40 minutes to cook up some pasta sauce heat the pasta and mix it together. Anyways the food was pretty good. Probably 7 out of 10. The atmosphere was okay. It was nice and quiet given nobody was there but the wait time was absolutely ridiculous. I’m sure there’s other places in Lilydale that can do the same if not better in a much shorter time especially on a Monday night.
